Due to the recent rains the City of Red Wing is temporarily turning off the electrical power on D-Dock Thursday June 6th due to expected flooding caused by rising water levels of the Mississippi River.
We do have it planned for this fall to make the improvements to the electrical to avoid these issues from arising in the future.

Due to the recent rains the City of Red Wing is temporarily closing Colvill Park on Friday June 7th due to expected flooding caused by rising water levels of the Mississippi River.
This area will be closed to vehicles however we are hoping that pedestrian traffic to access your boat by foot will still be an option if wanted.
Please note there will be no access to the restrooms but power to the docks should remain on.

Hello Boaters!

Beginning Thursday, July 20th, an event sponsored by The Honoring Dakota Project will be held in Bay Point Park. The far-left area of Bay Point Park (cul-de-sac area) near the gas dock will be blocked off for the Honoring Dakota Project – Tipi Teaching. Boaters can call the gas dock to arrange for transportation to their dock or park and walk in.

The boating community and surrounding area will be invited to engage with the Honoring Dakota project team for activities around the large metal tipi structure between Thursday, July 20, and Saturday, July 22, 4 pm.

The engagement will begin with a ceremony led by the Prairie Island Indian community. Cultural teachings will be held inside the tipi, during this timeframe.

You are invited to join the community in painting the tipi which will be used at other similar engagements in Red Wing and serve as a symbol of our communities coming together. Everyone is encouraged to bring a picnic or purchase food from the local food truck and gather as a community around the newly painted community tipi.
