Salmon, Steelhead and trout fishing we fish the salmon river NY and Otsego lake NY for trout and salmon.

Fall to Spring finds us on the Salmon River in Pulaski NY fishing for king and Coho salmon, winter to spring we are still on the river catching Steelhead and Brown trout . We utilize our 17 foot Willie Drift boat as long as the water level lets us. Summer finds us on the beautiful Otsego Lake in Cooperstown NY home of the Baseball Hall of Fame fishing for lake trout, brown trout and walleye.

Ok i went to the river again yesterday. Jared Chlus from Woodys Tackle Shop says lets go find some steelhead for a couple hours. Off we went to the lower river. I ran beads under a float and he ran bags. We couldnt keep the fresh kings off them! We landed kings coho and i managed to find my first chromer of the year. Fun 2 hours of fishing! The run that dosnt stop!

What do you do on a guides day off? Go for a walk and fish!! Took a walk this morning on a stretch and had it to my self with many kings still coming up! Thats a wrap for me till winter steelhead fishing. Time to fill the freezer with some venison!

Thats a wrap for us on night trips for 2026! Its the never ending season and they just keep coming!!. Still plenty of fish out front still to run the river. Thank you to all who fished with us this year and to guides who helped us out, Jason Julien , Capt Nate. And Mike Bullock.

Busy week of salmon slaying on the night shift! Sad to see it but the night bite is almost over. Still plenty out there though. Trolling spoons been the best with casting crank baits and sitting on sacks all producing. Thanks to all who fished with us this fall in the night shift!! Few picks from this week.

Since the water is so low still and the fish are still piled up out front still, im opening Oct 5th to the 11th for night trips! Saturday the 10th is booked only so far. 518-332-7361

Slow start last night for us but the lake laid down enough to get out. Right off the bat hit a nice chrome salmon that was fiesty and ended up flipping my net in to the water never to be seen again. Ended the night hand landing 2 more loosing the last one that wouldnt let me grab it. Missed like 6 more that didnt stick. Wind came back up and we ended the night at midnight.

Anyone finds a net out in the water or shore by the salmon river lighthouse , i lost it tonight. Love to have it back.

Another grind tonight with the father son team from NJ. Started slow again but when the lake calmed down we went out and made it happen again. Trolled for 2 hours going 5 for 8 on the spoons.
