Yesterday I had the pleasure of taking Jason, Scott, Joe and Tamara fishing for brown trout and we had an absolute blast. Between the ball busting and the fish biting the smiles and laughs never ended.

We lost count of the bites but they took home 8 nice brown trout and let 3 others go. Tamara might not habe landed the biggest but she definitely caught the most. That might habe had something to do with pushing the guys out of the way to get to the rods or constantly claiming she was up next 🤔.

The hot spoons were UV Can't Afford It and Dirty Snowman. Chinook divers on a 1 setting out 110 and our free sliders on the riggers were key.

Cayuga Lake Fishing

Sunday I had the pleasure of taking Jeff and his son Braden out on Cayuga Lake. The fishing started out slow and then we found the line we needed to be on. A gambler rig behind a chrome shark ended up being the hot rod of the day taking multiple lakers. We also hit them on spoons on the diver rods and 4 color leadcores with spoons....

Tough to get good pictures fishing solo. One brown and one king hit the net in a quick scouting trip. Fishing out of Mexico Bay continues to be excellent.

With two kids each playing on two baseball teams I haven't had a lot of time but I did sneak in a few trips last week. Walleye opener didnt go as expected but Cayuga Lake and Lake Ontario didnt disappoint.

Sunday we fished Cayuga boxing 13 good lakers and letting some smaller ones go. Sunday evening I put the boat back at the dock and we were on Lake Ontario Monday morning. We left the dock at 6:30 and returned around noon putting 3 kings and 10 browns in the net.

Lake Ontario fishing report 4/22/26

This afternoon I had Carlos aboard with hopes of putting some nice fish in the net. He is in the area for work and had contacted me about getting out on the water. Joel and Caleb had a great 2 days chasing Lake Ontario brown trout. Friday they were 12 for 12 with the majority being cookie cutter small fish. Saturday was a day for quality. They went 11 for 11 with one fish just over 10 pounds and multiple over 5 pounds. They are also the first guests to land every fish hooked. Can't wait to fish with you guys this summer.
