Tough to get good pictures fishing solo. One brown and one king hit the net in a quick scouting trip. Fishing out of Mexico Bay continues to be excellent.

With two kids each playing on two baseball teams I haven't had a lot of time but I did sneak in a few trips last week. Walleye opener didnt go as expected but Cayuga Lake and Lake Ontario didnt disappoint.

Sunday we fished Cayuga boxing 13 good lakers and letting some smaller ones go. Sunday evening I put the boat back at the dock and we were on Lake Ontario Monday morning. We left the dock at 6:30 and returned around noon putting 3 kings and 10 browns in the net.

Friday night walleye trip just canceled. The trip is 6pm to midnight. If you want a prime night of fishing for big walleye get ahold of me asap.

Lake Ontario fishing report 4/22/26

This afternoon I had Carlos aboard with hopes of putting some nice fish in the net. He is in the area for work and had contacted me about getting out on the water. Joel and Caleb had a great 2 days chasing Lake Ontario brown trout. Friday they were 12 for 12 with the majority being cookie cutter small fish. Saturday was a day for quality. They went 11 for 11 with one fish just over 10 pounds and multiple over 5 pounds. They are also the first guests to land every fish hooked. Can't wait to fish with you guys this summer.

Watching it snow as I unpack a box from I purchased during one of thier awesome sales late last year. Thinking about trolling for Onieda Lake walleye as I fill this box with Dave's winning streak lures. Hot n tot style lures work great for walleye.

Last weekend i had to pull the boat due to water levels at my dock. That doesn't mean the lake season is over. It just means the boat is sitting on the trailer ready to go. This weekend I'll finish removing thr salmon tackle. Rods and tackle for brown trout and walleye are ready to go. The boat being on the trailer means we can fish Lake Ontario for brown trout, Oneida Lake for walleye or Cayuga Lake for lakers, browns, atlantics and rainbows....
