Looking outside it doesn't look like boating season is close, but it will be here before you know it.
Last season on Oneida we saw a ton of 14 inch fish. This year all of those fish will be over 15 inches. So it looks like this season will be better than last.
I'm now booking for the 2026 season on Oneida. I use many different technics including trolling cranks, pulling worn harnesses, jigging and casting jerkbaits depending on the time of year. If you're thinking about a trip, call or email me. Book soon to secure your date!

Day 2 with the boys from Jersey. With a strong gusty west wind we left Godfrey knowing today wasn't going to be easy. Turns out we were right. Tom and Gary never once complained about the weather or the tough fishing while grinding out their limits.
Great job guys and see you next year.
Thanks Scriba Charters for having me as your second boat.

Today I was the second boat for Chris Scriba of Scriba Charters. The trip was an annual event for the boys from Jersey. (One from Maine). Although the bite was as bad as the weather, Tom and Gary managed to put an impressive bag together. Garys first fish was a 23.5 incher. 10 minutes later Tom locked on to a 24.5 incher. Those were 2 awsome walleyes for Oneida.
Great job guys. Hopefully tomorrow will be just as good for day 2.

Was able to get in one more trip today before the weather goes south.
Brad was looking to learn how to fish Oneida. I think I've convinced him that trolling is a quick way to load up the boat.
After doing some casting and only boating one keeper, we decided to troll the last hour and a half.
In no time we loaded up the livewell. Brad even released a 24.75 inch beauty.
Great job Brad.
Im still booking for this season. Don't wait, ice will be here before you know it.

Another beautiful day to be on Oneida lake.
Today brothers Joe and Tony got to see first hand how good the fishing is on Oneida in the fall. Pulling stickbaits with leadcore once again was the ticket. All fall i have been running just 4 leadcore lines and usually have trouble keeping them in the water.
Great job guys, see you next year.

Another beautiful fall day on Oneida. Today I was the second boat for Karl Elsner and Eye Catching Charters.
On board with me was Sergie and Tania, from Connecticut.
Same story as the last few weeks, leadcore and cranks kept them chasing rods all morning. In the end they took a mess of walleyes back to Connecticut.
Thanks again guys, you were awsome.
Time is winding down on the season so get a trip booked soon.

This morning was a very busy day on the water.
Brian, Noah, Brice and Jackson had their hands full reeling fish in and resetting lines. This was fall fishing at its best.
Great job guys. Thanks Ron for setting up the trip.

After being off the lake for 2 weeks while on vacation, it was nice to see nothing has changed.
Adam and Dan were treated to the typical Oneida lake fall bite.
As usual leadcore and stickbaits was the ticket. For now the fish are still deep. With water temps in the mid 50s, it won't be long and they will move shallow and the jig bite will turn on.
I still have openings and will be fishing weather permitting for the next month.

Stiff east wind didn't stop Brian and Noah from slamming the eyes this morning.
We started off trolling and finished the morning off casting.
Great job guys.
If you're looking to get in on the action don't wait, the hard water will be here before you know it.

Wasn't sure how the bite would be this morning with the cold front that came through. Luckly Ed and Scott found out it didn't matter. The fall bite continues!

Jason and Nick picked a tough day to be on Oneida. The bite we have been accustomed to pretty much died today for some reason.
The bite was strong early but faded fast.
Despite the slow bite they were very patient and slowly put together a nice board.
Great job guys.
