In CrossFit, results are observable, measureable, and repeatable.
How do you know what you're doing in the gym is moving the needle for you? Is it a feeling, or do you have objective information that tells you you're going in the right direction?
In CrossFit, we keep score. Not because we're stroking our egos, but because a score reflects observable and measureable capacity. It reflects adherence to agreed upon movement standard such as squat depth or full range of motion in a push up. Movement standards provide goals for athletes to achieve, recognizing that a functional body should be able to move toward its end ranges of motion safely. If you're not there yet, that's ok. That's why we're here.
If you can observe it and measure it, you can repeat it in the future and demonstrate that you have in fact, improved your fitness.
