Goldfish Swim School - Portland Teaching kids how to swim is our passion! Goldfish is much more than a swim school. You feel it the moment you walk in. Something different. Something unexpected.

Goldfish Swim School – Portland is a state-of-the-art swimming facility dedicated to teaching children as young as 4 months old. It’s more than vibrant colors chosen to inspire kids. More than a curriculum crafted to not only teach kids to swim but also to build their character through guided play. More than a shiver-free pool heated to 90 degrees. There’s something more. Something beyond typical.

It’s passion. Not just a passion for kids or a passion for swimming…it’s a special passion for changing – even saving – lives by teaching kids to swim and be safer in and around the water. We use our holistic philosophy, The Science of SwimPlay®, to build life skills both in and out of the water using play-based learning in a fun and safe environment. In a class size of no more than 4 children to 1 swim instructor, children master the skills they need to be safer and confident in the water. Beginning as early as 4 months, children progress through a series of perpetual swimming lessons, graduating to higher levels of difficulty as swimming skills are mastered. Goldfish also offers special events like parties, Family Swim, accelerated Jump Start Clinics and our Goldfish Swim Force Team, catered to swimmers who have completed the Goldfish Pro Level. But here's the thing: Baby Safety Month isn't about expecting babies to become swimmers overnight.

It's about helping families build positive experiences around the water from the very beginning.

Every cuddle in the pool.

We are so excited 🎉 to celebrate our Goldfish - Portland September Employee of the Month, Adam!🌟

Adam is one of our awesome Deck Assistants. He helps keep things running smoothly on deck by handing out ribbons, helping instructors with goggles, and connecting with our Goldfish families and swimmers.🏊 🏊‍♀️

His favorite thing about Goldfish is interacting with the kids and getting to meet new people. Looking ahead, he sees himself working in accounting in five years. And a fun fact about Adam? He’s really good at video games 🎮

Thank you to Adam for his assistance on the pool deck and for his attention to all the swimmers and their needs during lessons! We are thankful for you! 💙

September is Baby Safety Month and all month long we will be celebrating our littlest swimmers! Safe swimming starts with safe water so PLEASE help us keep our water free of contamination which forces closures!

As part of our commitment to keeping our water safe and clean for your family, we require that all children that are not completely potty trained wear well fitted iPlay reusable swim diapers. To aid in this mission we give one FREE to all new swimmers 😍

In addition we encourage you to take advantage of our makeup policy if your child is not feeling well please let us know before your class and a makeup token will be added!

We want to avoid closing the pool for lessons, family swim and even birthday parties - however if an accident does occur we must follow guidelines on the closure.

We are fully committed to the health and safety of every child that swims at Goldfish. We ask all our customers to join in this commitment to helping prevent accidents in the pool 💦

One day, they're a pirate searching for treasure. Next, they're a princess making a royal splash. And somewhere in between all that pretending, they're learning something pretty incredible: confidence.

At Goldfish Swim School, we believe play is one of the best teachers. Through laughter, imagination, and plenty of fun, little swimmers discover they can try new things, solve challenges, and believe in themselves.
