Welcome to the Mental Performance Center, Coach Al Hogan. πŸ‘Š

Al comes to MPC with a background that is genuinely one of a kind.

A retired U.S. Army Chief Warrant Officer 4 with 22 years of service, including two Bronze Stars earned during deployments in Iraq and Afghanistan and assignment to the Department of Defense Executive Protection Unit, providing personal protection to the Secretary of Defense, Secretary of Army, and other high risk personnel.

After retiring from the military, Al continued his service as a Federal Law Enforcement Special Agent at the GS15 level, training and instructing in control tactics, street survival, and executive protection at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center.

Leadership and discipline have never been concepts for Al. They have been a way of life.

Since founding Team Randori Martial Arts in Maryland, Al earned his Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt in 2019 and went on to become a two time IBJJF World Champion, winning the Masters 4 title in 2017 and the Masters 5 title in 2019. He also holds a Master of Arts in Forensic Psychology, bringing an academic understanding of human behavior to everything he teaches.

Al knows what it takes to perform under real pressure. Now he brings that standard to the athletes he coaches through MPC.

We are glad to have him in the community.

Welcome, Coach Hogan. πŸ™Œ

Every Monday morning you start over. πŸ‘‡

You open your laptop and the same questions are sitting there waiting for you. Where is the next client coming from. What should I post this week. Is this week finally going to be different from last week.

And the frustrating part is you worked hard last week. You showed up. You put in the hours. But somehow Monday morning still feels like standing at the starting line again with nothing carrying over from the week before.

That feeling is not a motivation problem. It is a system problem.

Because real businesses do not start over every Monday. They wake up Monday morning with momentum already in motion from the week before. Leads already in the pipeline. Content already doing its job in the market. A client acquisition process already running in the background.

The week does not start from zero because the system never stopped.

That is the fundamental difference between coaches who are building and coaches who are surviving.

Surviving is exhausting. You are carrying the entire weight of the business on your back every single week. If you do not push it nothing moves. And if you stop pushing even for a few days everything stalls.

Building is different. The system carries weight you were never meant to carry alone. Marketing builds on itself week over week. Your reputation compounds in your market over time. Client acquisition runs because the process is right not because you had a burst of energy on a Thursday afternoon.

That is what compounds. And compounding is what turns a struggling coaching practice into a real business worth owning. πŸ§ πŸ’Ό

At MPC we replace the weekly restart with a proven system that builds momentum instead of burning it.

You stop surviving weeks. You start building something real.

At some point every coach building a mental performance business faces this exact choice. πŸ‘‡

They just do not always realize they are making it.

Trial and error feels like the natural path. You figure it out as you go. You test your methodology and adjust when it does not land. You try different marketing approaches and see what sticks. You build your offers, tweak your pricing, fumble through sales conversations, and patch your technology together one problem at a time.

And somewhere in the middle of all of that you pay the price.

Not just in money. Although that adds up fast. In time you cannot recover. In confidence that takes hit after hit before you find what works. In momentum lost during the months when everything feels like it is moving backwards. In clients you never got because the system was not ready when they were.

Trial and error is not a strategy. It is a tax. And most coaches pay it for far longer than they ever anticipated when they started.

Turn-key is a completely different experience.

You come in with the methodology already proven. The business infrastructure already built. The marketing framework already tested. The client acquisition system already working in real markets. The technology already set up and ready to run.

Nothing left to figure out from scratch. Nothing left to test at your own expense. Just a complete operating system ready for you to step into and execute.

The difference between those two paths is not just speed. It is the compounding cost of everything trial and error takes from you while you are trying to find what works.

Most coaches who spent time in the trial and error phase before finding MPC say the same thing. πŸ§ πŸ’Ό

They wish they had made the turn-key decision first.

Authority in any industry is built one of two ways. πŸ‘‡

The slow way. Years of grinding to build your reputation from scratch. Posting consistently and hoping the right people see it. Taking every client you can get at prices lower than you deserve just to build a portfolio. Slowly earning trust in a market that has no reason to believe in you yet.

Or the smart way.

Stepping into a position of authority that is already established. Operating under a recognized brand that has already done the credibility work. Delivering a proven methodology that athletes, parents, and organizations already associate with professional results.

One of those paths takes years. The other gets you there in months.

Here is what most coaches underestimate about brand association.

When you operate under an established recognized framework you are not borrowing credibility. You are earning a position in the market that independent coaches spend years trying to reach on their own. Prospects who have never heard your name before are already predisposed to trust you because of the brand behind you.

That changes the dynamic of every single conversation before it even starts.

You are not walking into a room trying to convince someone to believe in you. You are walking in as a credentialed professional under a framework they recognize and respect. The trust is already partially built. The authority is already partially established.

That is a completely different starting point than going it alone.

Stronger position. Greater trust. Faster growth. Those are not just words on an image. They are the direct result of operating under a recognized brand with a proven system behind every move you make. πŸ§ πŸ’Ό

MPC Coaches do not spend years waiting to be taken seriously. They step into authority on day one.

Welcome to the Mental Performance Center, Coach Abigail Harris. πŸ‘Š

Abigail comes to MPC from Lexington, Kentucky with a background that connects athletic performance from multiple angles.

A former Division III collegiate basketball player who went on to earn a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science. From there she built a coaching and training career that covers a lot of ground. Four years and counting coaching middle and high school girls basketball. Nearly three years as a personal trainer working with a wide variety of clientele. And experience as a Division I assistant strength and conditioning coach.

That combination tells you something important about Abigail. She understands how athletes are built physically. She understands how they develop on the court. And she understands what it takes to perform at the Division I level.

What brought her to MPC is the piece that ties all of it together. The mental side of performance. Because she has seen firsthand that the physical tools alone are never enough.

We are glad to have her in the community.

Welcome, Coach Harris. πŸ™Œ

This post is for the coach who has been sitting on this idea for way too long. πŸ‘‡

You know the mental side of performance is where the real breakthroughs happen. You have seen it firsthand. Maybe you lived it as an athlete. Maybe you have been coaching for years and kept watching mental barriers hold talented athletes back in ways that had nothing to do with physical ability.

The desire to do this work at a deeper level is real. It has been there for a while.

But something keeps stopping you from moving forward.

Maybe you do not have a proven methodology you feel confident delivering consistently. Maybe you have knowledge but no real framework around what to actually coach session by session. Maybe you are not sure how to position yourself as a credible mental performance professional when you are just getting started. Maybe the biggest wall is simply not knowing how to find and close clients in a way that produces real consistent income.

Any one of those things alone is enough to keep a coach stuck indefinitely. All of them together can make the whole idea feel impossible.

Here is what we want you to know.

Every single one of those problems has already been solved inside the MPC program. The methodology is built. The framework is structured session by session. The brand gives you credibility from day one. The client acquisition system tells you exactly how to find and close the right clients in your market.

You do not have to figure any of it out alone. That is the entire point.

The coaches who came into MPC feeling exactly the way you feel right now are operating. Serving athletes. Generating income. Building something real in their markets.

The gap between where you are and where you want to be is not as wide as it feels from the outside. πŸ§ πŸ’Ό

Congratulations to Coach Thomas Smith on earning his MPC Identity Forge Certification! πŸŽ‰

Thomas did not arrive at the University of North Carolina with a scholarship. He walked on.

By the time he left he was a first round NFL Draft pick. Selected 28th overall in 1993 by the Buffalo Bills. A starting cornerback who competed at the highest level for nine seasons including a Super Bowl appearance. Widely regarded as one of the most underrated cornerbacks of his era.

That kind of career is not built on talent alone. It is built on discipline, mental toughness, and the ability to perform when the pressure is at its highest.

Everything Thomas learned on that journey he has carried into business ownership, entrepreneurship, and sales leadership since retiring from the game. And now he is bringing all of it into the Mental Performance Center.

The athletes Thomas works with are not just getting a coach with a great resume. They are getting someone who has lived every level of this journey and knows exactly what it takes to compete, build, and win.

Well earned, Coach Smith. We are proud to have you as an MPC Identity Forge Certified Coach and official member of the Mental Performance Center community. πŸ‘Š

Let's clear up one of the biggest misconceptions holding coaches back in this space. πŸ‘‡

The belief that you need a master's degree in sport psychology or years of expensive academic training to become a credible mental performance coach is keeping talented people on the sidelines who have no business being there.

And the coaches already serving athletes at the highest level know this better than anyone.

Some of the most effective mental performance coaches working today do not have traditional academic backgrounds in psychology. They have something more valuable in a lot of ways. Real experience competing under pressure. Real experience coaching athletes through adversity. Real life understanding of what the mental game actually feels like from the inside.

That experience is an asset. Not a liability.

What turns that experience into a credible professional practice is not a $50,000 degree. It is the right methodology. A structured evidence based framework that tells you exactly what to coach and how to coach it. A recognized program behind your name that gives athletes and organizations confidence in your ability to deliver results.

That is what the MPC Identity Forge Certification provides.

A focused professional training program built on real sport psychology and neuroscience research. Accessible to coaches from any background who are serious about doing this work at the highest level.

Former athletes. Military veterans. Physical trainers. High school coaches. Corporate professionals. People who have lived the mental side of performance and are now equipped with the framework to teach it.

The barrier to entry in this space is not a degree. It is the right certification and the right system behind it. πŸ§ πŸ’Ό

Welcome to the Mental Performance Center, Coach Alicia Crandell. πŸ‘Š

Alicia comes to MPC with a background that covers the full landscape of athletic development.

A former collegiate athlete who went on to become a coach, baseball and softball scout, and Athletic Director. She has been on every side of the athlete experience and understands what it takes to build programs, develop student-athletes, and create real opportunities for success at every level.

That kind of range is rare. And it matters.

Alicia has spent her career dedicated to the people inside the programs, not just the programs themselves. Developing student-athletes who are prepared to compete and succeed on and off the field has always been the mission.

Now based in Arizona after growing up in Colorado, she brings that same commitment to the MPC community and the athletes she will serve through this work.

We are glad to have her here.

Welcome, Coach Crandell. πŸ™Œ
