I am all about finding fitness that you enjoy and using that to help you get healthy, getting you and your family to start living life in a healthy way. I am interested in helping with losing weight, increasing fitness, increase of muscle tone, nutrition, and making all these elements fun and suitable to fit into your lifestyle. Not everyone loves the gym, or has the time for the gym, and more oft

en than not people buy into a gym membership and then are unsure of what to do with it. The exercises that I primarily use can be done in your home, or back yard, they are to build muscle strength rather than bulk you up. If you have children then thats even better, children learn from watching and participating in activities, and if they see there mum being active and enjoying fitness then they are more likely to have a good association with fitness. The same goes for eating, children learn from healthy lifestyle habits and showing them a great balanced lifestyle early on will be the foundation for there future health. I am happy to chat about anything fitness or health related so take the plunge and contact me.

Hey Team,

Soft launch weekend did not go to plan, we had some issues (some caused my me and my I don't know what the Fk I am doing because I am not and IT person, even though I am the IT person as well as the Admin).

Hopefully when the US is back from its weekend, I can get it sorted and we are rolling, but please leave the new system alone, Its not where I want it to be yet, before you all go tutu.

Trainer tip Tuesday - Are you someone who struggles with neck pain when crunching?

Have a try at this little trick as a way to not put too much pressure on the neck or pulling on head.

It feels funny telling people how to walk, but many of us roll our ankles just thinking about uneven surfaces.

Most shoes are designed to control the way we walk, and often we walk as fast as we can to get where we are going and take little notice of what we are doing.

Here's a few tips to get those feet working and to save the ankle joint.

🚶Slow it down - unless you are about to s**t yourself - slow the steps down.
🦶 Feel the foot, the whole foot, feel the heel, the sides, the ball and the toes as you push off. Stop plodding
🦵Walk on different surfaces, try and be barefoot as much as possible, I know it's winter soon so look for some warmer quality barefoot options.
🌍Feel the world under you, lets free the feet and get them stronger.

P.S. I am not in barefoot shoes for this walk as mine were wet, but they are a great option to retrain your feet.
P.P.S have these really cool insoles and socks that help your feet from a neurological aspect, they are great in barefoot shoes.

So I feel like this is age and stage dependant.

The first couple of mothers day its a novelty, then when the kids get annoying, a break seems like a dream, then when the kids become adults you may want to revert back to the chaos, but regardless of the stage, but a Robot Vacuum will always be your bestie.

So a client walks in, moans about being in a bit of pain, we release around the area, and look at the opposing side/limb, normally notice something isn't computing, s**t is offline somewhere. Generally, where there's tightness, there's a weakness nearby.

If you are hypermobile, Your nervous system is probably pretty average at getting signals to the right place, espescially those small stabilizer muscles as your big muscles have been your best mate but worst enemy for a while now, but its not your fault, you can blame your parents for the 'gift that keeps on giving'.

When doing your reps it's important to take your time, especially on the weaker side and feel the activation, sometimes its a struggle to feel it at all, but also spend more time on your weaker side.

There were MANY close calls tonight.

For many of us we dont actually 'love' exercise, but things like having a space that is not intimidating, less pressure to be perfect, you are not going to be yelled at, instructors that give a fk about what's going on in your body, and a cool community make it less s**t.

Sometimes, it's all about catching up with ya mates versus the crap you do in class.
