TOLLGATE ISLAND RACE, SYDNEY | Doyle-powered teams delivered a standout performance in the Tollgate Island Race, part of the Audi Centre Sydney Blue Water Pointscore 2026/27, as the series reaches the halfway mark.

Sebastian Bohm’s Smuggler claimed IRC Overall honours, with Rob Appleyard’s Moneypenny finishing second and Sean Langman’s Back 2 Black taking third, a clean sweep of the podium for Doyle-powered teams.

The Australian racing season is heating up as crews turn their attention to summer racing and the iconic Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race draws closer.

WIRED WINS | Doyle-powered Wired has claimed Line Honours in the 2026 Coastal Classic, crossing the finish line in Russell at 10:58:25 am on Saturday 24 October, with an elapsed time of 24 hours, 58 minutes and 25 seconds!

Skipper Rob Bassett and his team aboard the Bakewell-White 52 had plenty to celebrate this year, marking 20 years of racing aboard Wired while securing an impressive treble: Overall Line Honours, Division 1A Line Honours and first place on PHRF.

With more than 100 entries and 87 boats starting the race, just 10 racing yachts and multihulls completed the 119-nautical-mile course to Russell, making Wired's achievement all the more impressive.
Congratulations to Rob and the entire team on an outstanding result!

2026 COASTAL CLASSIC | A great morning on the water for the start of the 2026 PIC Insurance Brokers Coastal Classic. This challenging coastal race saw about 80 yachts start the race in Auckland, New Zealand and teams head north to Russell in Northland.

The race has long marked the opening of the summer sailing season for many hundreds of Kiwi yachties. Doyle Sails are thrilled to be sponsoring the Coastal Classic again this year!

It was a beautiful morning, but its going to be a long night as light winds have settled in!
