Today wasn’t just another public holiday workout.

Today we got to celebrate one of our own.

After years of research, writing, travelling, presenting, revising, defending and somehow surviving nearly 100,000 words🍌, KDee officially became Dr KDee Aimiti Ma’ia’i.

The first Pacific woman Rhodes Scholar.
A Doctor of Pacific Histories from Oxford.
A proud Samoan woman.
A friend, athlete and valued member of our Decile One whānau.

This morning we surprised her with BANANAGIRL 685 — a workout inspired by her thesis, her journey and the impact she continues to have on so many people.

A huge congratulations Dr Ma’ia’i. We are incredibly proud of you and grateful that despite all your achievements, you still choose to spend your time suffering alongside the rest of us.
