Covasna Hard Enduro 2026 🇷🇴🔥
Hard Enduro Covasna 2026 proved once again why Romania remains one of the best destinations in Europe for riders looking for a real test of skill, fitness and mental strength. The event, held on 7–9 August, was part of the Romanian National Hard Enduro Championship and brought together a strong international field.
Covasna is not simply about one spectacular obstacle. The difficulty comes from the combination of technical terrain, demanding climbs and descents, long sections and the need to maintain concentration throughout the race. The organisers themselves classify the PRO route for highly experienced riders, while the Veteran class uses the same track as Expert — a clear indication that this is serious hard enduro territory.
Where does Covasna stand among the Romanian rounds?
Looking at the 2026 Romanian championship, Covasna belongs firmly in the upper tier of difficulty. Poiana Rusca was particularly brutal because of its wet conditions, technical climbs and extremely demanding multi-day racing; the federation reported 34 Hobby riders abandoning the race.
Covasna brings a somewhat different challenge. Rather than relying only on extreme individual sections, it combines technical riding with endurance and consistency. That makes mistakes expensive — and physical problems can quickly turn into lost time.
In our view, Poiana Rusca and the most extreme sections of the Romanian championship may have the edge in pure technical brutality, but Covasna is right there among the toughest rounds when the complete race experience is considered. It rewards riders who can keep pushing after hours of hard riding, not just those who can conquer one difficult hill.
And this year the competition was seriously fast.
ENDURO EKIPA welcomes Kacper Dudzic 🇵🇱
One of the highlights for ENDURO EKIPA was the opportunity to host Kacper Dudzic, an exceptionally talented PRO rider from Poland.
Kacper is the kind of rider who makes difficult terrain look deceptively simple. His riding style is aggressive but calculated — strong commitment on climbs, excellent bike control through technical sections and the ability to maintain speed where many riders are forced to slow down. His 2026 results underline his level: he won Hard Enduro Sudety and finished second at Xtreme Kamienica, while also fighting at the sharp end of Romanian championship events.
His experience also goes well beyond domestic racing. Kacper has competed at major international hard enduro events, including Erzbergrodeo, and has raced in the Romanian championship for several seasons.
Having a rider of this level within the ENDURO EKIPA team was a privilege — and watching him battle with Romania's best PRO riders was a real lesson in modern hard enduro riding.
🏁 RESULTS
🥇 Kacper Dudzic – 4th, PRO
A fantastic result in one of the strongest fields. Kacper was in a real battle with the best competitors throughout the race and showed exactly what it takes to compete at the highest level. P4 in PRO is a result to be proud of.
💪 Filip Wojtczak – 10th, Veteran
A race that became a battle against everything that could go wrong. A foot injury, a broken subframe on the Husqvarna and a flat tyre during the second day all cost valuable time. Despite the problems, Filip kept fighting and brought the bike — and himself — to the finish. 10th place in Veteran
🔥 Ireneusz Przybyła – 27th, Hobby
No serious preparation before the race. Morning sickness. Tough Romanian terrain. And still — he lined up and fought. Ireneusz showed pure dedication and determination, refusing to give up when the easy option would have been to stop. 27th in Hobby — but a much bigger victory in terms of character.
🇵🇱🇷🇴 One team. Different battles. Same attitude.
Covasna reminded us once again why we keep coming back to Romania.
For Kacper, it was about fighting for positions with the fastest PRO riders.
For Filip, it was about surviving injury, mechanical problems and a flat tyre.
For Ireneusz, it was about overcoming his own physical limits and simply refusing to quit.
Three riders. Three completely different races. One ENDURO EKIPA spirit.
Huge congratulations to all three riders — and a special thank you to Kacper Dudzic for being part of the team and showing us what PRO-level hard enduro looks like.
Romania delivers again. 🇷🇴🔥
ENDURO EKIPA keeps pushing. 🇵🇱💪
