Quay Olympic U11s entered the Calvin Curley Gray, Forever 11 Tournament today hosted by Shamrocks F.C.
A very well organised tournament which was played in great spirits by all.
Our Olympic lads managed to Qualify for the trophy after 4 group games, coming into their stride towards the end of the group. They took that good form into the Semi Final and were unlucky not to win in normal time but managed to win the penalty shoot out with 3 great penalties.
The final then saw the challenge of St Dominics who held us to a goalless draw. We were unlucky not to win in normal time with some great saves from the St Dominics keeper and a lucky save from the cross bar.
This then meant penalties again and unfortunately the luck fell to St Dominics in this shoot out.
We are extremely proud of the lads for the way they played football today and enjoyed themselves throughout. Great to see football played in such great spirits, the way it should be.A special shout out to Daniel Quinn who got player of the final 💪

⚽️ WHAT A MORNING FOR OUR QUAY CELTIC U7s! ⚽️

Our young stars were out in force this morning at the Fintan Goss Memorial Day in Ravensdale and what a fantastic morning of football it was! 👏

The lads played some brilliant football, showing great passing, teamwork, effort and plenty of skill throughout the games. 🙌⚽️

🧤 Two clean sheets against St Dominic’s and Glenmuir were a fantastic achievement, an they also took on Bellurgan in another great game.
Most importantly, the boys had a brilliant time, enjoyed their football and represented Quay Celtic superbly.

And a huge thank you to everyone involved in organising the Fintan Goss Memorial Day. 🏁⚽️

Quay Celtic 4 – Albion 1

Our U14s played Albion last night in very wet conditions, knowing a win would move them 3 points clear.
Quay started brightly and took the lead with an Annabelle McGee penalty after Emily Sally was tripped in the box.
Albion were dangerous on the break, but Quay settled down and started to move the ball quickly. Emily Sally made it 2–0 after great work from Aobheann O’Connor. They both combined again, and Sally got her second of the night with a cool finish.
HT: 3–0
After Quay’s dominant first half, Albion came out fighting and pressed Quay, but couldn’t get past the outstanding Sophie Woods and Holly Matthews.
Quay looked dangerous on the counter, and after great combination play with Naoise Warnock and Emily Sally, the ball fell to Sally, who slotted home to complete her hat-trick.
Albion pulled one back with seconds left to make it 4–1 to the home side.

⚽️ Two great wins for our U10 Girls this week! ⚽️

A fantastic week for the girls, with wins against Bellurgan FC on Wednesday and Rock FC this afternoon. 👏💪

Every girl played extremely well, showing great teamwork, effort and determination from start to finish.

Our defenders, midfielders and attackers connected brilliantly, working together smoothly both to defend and to create chances and score. ⚽️🔥

Well done, girls — a brilliant team performance! 👏

Great morning for the Quay Celtic Under 8s as we hosted Redeemer! ⚽️👏

A fantastic team performance with plenty of energy, teamwork and great football on show. Goals from Nathan McGahon, Ollie Lennon and a brace from Jack McCabe capped off a brilliant morning.

Well done to all the boys — great effort! 🏁⚽️
