Relationship Dramas...A Simple Fix!
(Oh, the irony of that statement 😄)

In couples' communication, there is one rule above all else:

“Connection always before solutions/fixing/advice.”

(Think: No one cares how much you know, until they know how much you care!).

"No woman wants fixing, they want to FEEL heard AND understood.”

Men! She doesn't want to be fixed; she wants connection, and connection happens when you listen to understand, not listen to solve her problem.

Connection calms the nervous system and helps her feel safe.
When she feels safe, she'll share knowing you care.
Solutions come after safety...if at all!

Women, this changes everything, and it has to start somewhere.

Does friendship lasts forever...

Of course...when you are a Royal Marines Commando you are a member of a brotherhood that never forgets.

If you look closely at the centre of the image below you'll see a picture of "Dougie" 564 Troop RM whom we lost to cancer some 20 years ago.

His best mate Eddie had two images of Dougie blown up and he brought them down to our 30-year reunion.

We laughed, cried, reminisced, hugged, drank our own weight in beer and played spoof...all with Dougie's picture front and centre.

A fantastic reunion that has kicked off an annual get together or brothers from different mothers.
