Dragstalgia 2026, a weekend of mixed emotions and thoughts.
Nostalgia Nats ended after 1 run when we torched a head, so after repairing, a freshen up and an upgrade on the fuel pump from an 80 gallon to a 110 gallon pump we were ready to try again at Dragstalgia.
As always at Dragstalgia we run with the Willys Wars. The weekend ended up being harder than we thought trying to get the car setup with the new fuel system. Changes made to the setup over 4 runs over the weekend, showing improvement from 28 seconds on Saturday to 15 on Sunday.
So despite not hitting the numbers we wanted, we made 4 runs over the weekend, with our last pass late Sunday afternoon. Its been a long time since we have made that many passes and taken the car home in one bit. Its still running to rich, but better to build up on it than blow it up. It sounds great in the pits but undet load on the track is a different story.
A big shout out to Alan Skipp, Ford Skipp and Matthew Hollins on that awesome run. Someone say a 6 next?
Also to Dave Nelson and John Nelson, great to see you both back at the track with the car.
A big thanks to everyone who stopped by to speak, offer help or advice, Santa Pod Raceway staff, track & pit marshalls for an awesome event.
Finally to our team who give up there time to help and be apart of this dream.
