We're off to Santa Pod Raceway today to set up ready for Summer Nationals this weekend.

We've made some tweaks to the map since the last event so hopefully we won't suffer with stall issues and boost cut. But we shall see

Disturbed Photography took an awesome shot of the Swift as they have done for several events now

As always the Sands - baby loss charity logo will be carried on the swift to raise awareness for families who have lost their babies. We love that we can support SANDS in this way and thank them for all the support they gave us.

This weekend brought the end of a long wait between race events.

The car unfortunately was running with issues all weekend that we had been fighting since test day on Friday.

However with some luck we managed to make it through to the quarter finals where Eva Huxley cut an amazing light and even without our car issues I think I would have struggled to catch her.

Ian Blackett got some amazing shots as always. I didn't even notice that mighty mouse was up on its back wheels next to me during on of our test day runs.

Sands - baby loss charity logo was carried with us as always. We continue to thank them for the help they gave us and continue to give us.

Time to go back make a few changes and see what happens next time

Springspeed Nationals what can we say

It's was the return of the Swift.

This weekend brought us PBs on both ET and MPH. A 13.48 at 110.68MPH

The Swift was on a mission all weekend it's first time back was against the 370Z of Drift Drag Drive who said it was like a scene out of fast and furious when the Swifts boost kicked in

In Q1 we had no idea on what to put down as the last time out the Swift was hurting so we put a 13.5 on the back close to our previous PB of 13.53. Hitting a 13.51 putting us 3rd after Q1.

Q2 brought us a breakout with new PB of 13.48 and Q3 well that was driver error of forgetting to lift my foot fully to disengage the clutch on the launch.

This brought an end to day one on the track but our friends Team Tea Caddy , Steel city racing, Ben Jeffery, Lorna Collins and my wife Eleanor Griffin put on an amazing belated birthday party for me.

E1 p**e up against Adam Wakefield in the Monster Maverick this was a fun race with us both with similar dial-ins with the Swift just grabbing the win at the end.

E2 was a rematch against Georgina Smith but this time we had the Swift not the BYD once again we had another close race with another win for the Swift it's now 1-1 in our elimination battles.

The Quarter Finals came against Clive in his truck, unfortunately, this was the end of our racing, with a mis-shift meaning we missed 4th gear, meaning our weekend was over.

All in all we had a successful weekend coming into it having no idea what to dial we made it to the quarter finals on our first event back with the Swift.

A huge shout-out goes to Gary Lake for collecting the car and dropping it back from the track without you we couldn't of had such a special weekend

It was lovely to have the Sands - baby loss charity logo back in full display this weekend. We actually had a family who had been in a similar situation come and find the car in the pits and got photos of them with the car and the logo. Its was a reminded of why we run the logo and the impact it has on other people.

Photo credit to Blackett Photography taking amazing photos as always and Santa Pod Raceway for getting the photo of us all lined up.
