Wellingborough Whitworth FC are delighted to announce former Irchester Romans 1st Team manager Liam Leonard as head of their u18 section for the forthcoming season. We look forward to Liam developing players for our senior teams.

This is what Liam had to say about his appointment …

“After a 3 year hiatus I’m looking forward to being back with the 18s at Whits and am looking forward to preseason and the season ahead.

Our aim with the 18s this season is to create a competitive team playing in a positive environment which allows the players to develop there game with a view to helping them progress into the senior teams.

The youth section at the club has grown massively over the last 5 years or so. As a result we have a lot of talented teams and players throughout the age groups and we’d like to create a clear and realistic player pathway from youth football to senior football for all of those players and others that would like to be part of this club. “
