A huge thank you to the thousands of people who took the time to write objections, sign the petition, share information and stand alongside us in the fight against the proposed Local Plan.

Your support, your voices and the strength of our community made a real difference. Collingtree Park is about more than just golf; it is an important part of the local community, and your support has helped us protect a place that means so much to so many people. We genuinely couldn’t have done it without you.

We’re incredibly grateful to every single person who supported the campaign — whether you signed the petition, submitted an objection, shared a post, spoke to others or simply stood behind the club.

With Collingtree Park now removed from West Northamptonshire’s Local Plan, it’s time to look forward.

Our focus now turns to what matters most: our golf course, our members and getting the course back to where it should be.

Awesome news coming down the lines this morning!! Northamptonshire Golf’s 6-man Under 14 squad won the 2026 Midland Boy’s County Championships yesterday at Longcliffe Golf Club.

Added to that Harry-James Odell won individual honours for the low round of the day! Closely followed by Josh Bland in 3rd place.

The remaining team members, Thomas Peachey, Oliver Golby, Harry Bliss and James Chambers all combined to make Northamptonshire Golf and Junior Director Adam Print very proud of the team’s performance.
The future is bright! Congratulations to all players, parents and support staff.

Congratulations to Kingsthorpe Golf Club on their Hollingsworth Trophy victory yesterday also retaining the cup!

In 5 compelling matches against Rushden Golf Club, after a season of league fixtures and semi finals both teams put on fine displays of golf, in front of large numbers of spectators.

As always in foursomes golf, the margins were fine, particularly on this summers firm and parched golf courses. KGC Captain Ian Townsend commented after the victory, ‘after such a s**t week for the club, this is a great start to a new chapter.’ Amen to that!

No doubt most of you are aware by now, the clubhouse at Kingsthorpe Golf Club was significantly damaged by fire yesterday afternoon.
NGL offer our sympathies to the management, members and staff of KGC and will reach out in due course to offer more formal help.
We hope and understand that the golf course and Professional shop remains unaffected and will soon be open for members and visitors. Quite obviously the day-to-day clubhouse services will not be.
If you would like to help, the best thing you can do would be to book a tee time at Kingsthorpe and go pay a green fee.

Congratulations to Peterborough Milton’s Dominic Ralfs on his win in the Midland Senior Closed Amateur championships. Dom’s 70 was good enough to claim the spoils at Coventry Golf Club yesterday.

This week Northamptonshire County Golf Club is hosting the prestigious England Golf event, The Carris Trophy.
Today is day 2 of the event, which will be followed by a cut reducing the field down to about 70 players.
This is a great chance to see some of the worlds most talented Under 18’s golfers. Don’t miss out! Get down and support the players, the club and our county for this rare opportunity. 🏌🏻‍♂️

Northamptonshire Golf’s Men’s County Championships took place at the impeccable Wellingborough Golf Club today.
A full field of 66 players took part and a full compliment of volunteers and NGL officials were present to ensure the day ran smoothly.
After 36 holes in a testing breeze but otherwise perfect conditions, one man stood clear of the other 65.
Congratulations to Torin Little on completing the only two under par rounds of the day, 71 and 69, including a final 7 holes of 5 under par, and winning both gross and nett trophies both by 6 shots.
