This week we had 205 finishers - another good turnout in good weather. It was great to welcome visitors from Ballymena, Edinburgh, Carlisle, Chippenham, Andover, Basingstoke and other more local parkruns.

Congratulations on the following parkrun milestones today: Matthew Wornham (200); Amie Frayne (25); Paul Smith (25) and Philippa Flemming (25). Also Niall Hutchinson on his 301st (he missed mentioning his 300th last time....)

A big thank you to the Pacers from White Horse Harriers AC as well as all our volunteers. We would also like to thank Grove Rugby Club for use of their toilet facilities each week, and the volunteers from the Wilts & Berks Canal Trust who have recently carried out clearance along the canal towpath.

This week 205 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 39 were first timers and 38 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 20 different clubs took part.

Grove Fields parkrun started on 21st August 2021. Since then 6,933 participants have completed 30,573 parkruns covering a total distance of 152,865 km, including 4,605 new Personal Bests. A total of 645 individuals have volunteered 5,682 times.

It’s today so.....

🌍 Tourists - let us know where you're joining us from and we'll keep an eye out for you in the morning. Also don't forget to sign our tourist board with your name and where you've come from.
👩‍👦 Under 11s are welcome but must run within arm's length of their adult.
🐶 Dogs are also welcome with a maximum of 1 dog per parkrunner or parkwalker (or volunteer!), on a short, non-extendable, hand-held lead only.
🚗 The road closure that affected our parking has now ended. The parking at both Fitzwaryn School and Crown Packaging will be available.
🍼 We are a buggy friendly course although it's bumpy in places.

🐓Up early to set up the course and carry out safety checks are Marie, Gareth, Lori, Connor

🩷 Lori, Rachel, Gemma, Paula, Linda, Andrew will be our marshals, cheering you along and helping to keep you all safe.

⏱️ Sarah and Neil will be timekeeping. Everyone is usually glad to see them, as it means you’ve crossed the finish line!

🎟️ Rob will hand out Finish Tokens.

🦆❌ Ensuring we don’t have any funnel duckers and managing the funnel is Lauren

📲 Deni will scan your parkrun ID and finish token as Barcode Scanners.
