Good evening everyone and happy 😀😁

Our team of volunteers cannot wait to welcome you all tomorrow morning. Speaking of volunteers, it is National Volunteers Week this week and we wanted to take the opportunity to thank everyone who has volunteered at Grove Fields parkrun, both past and present, as without you parkrun simply would not be possible! 🦺🦺🥳🥳

It's also the first Saturday of the month which means it is pacer week, so if you fancy aiming for a new PB or just trying to pace yourself, keep an eye out for our pacers in the green high vis jackets, courtesy of the White Horse Harriers AC. 🦺🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️

⏱️Timings (as usual):
🌱 First timers welcome 08:50
👂 Main Briefing 08:57
⏱️ parkrun start 09:00

🌍 Tourists - let us know where you're joining us from and we'll keep an eye out for you in the morning. Also don't forget to sign our tourist board with your name and where you've come from.

👩‍👦 Under 11s are welcome but must run within arm's length of their adult.

🐶 Dogs are also welcome with a maximum of 1 dog per parkrunner or parkwalker (or volunteer!), on a short, non-extendable, hand-held lead only.

🚗 If you are driving, please park at either Fitzwaryn School or Crown Packaging.

🍼 We are a buggy friendly course although it's bumpy in places.

☕🎂 We are joined by JP&me Coffee Box who will be providing coffee and refreshments, perfect for your post parkrun pick-me-up

Well it's a bit cooler which is a good thing as it's pacers week courtesy of White Horse Harriers and the perfect weather for chasing that PB 😊

We still need volunteers to make this week's run go smoothly so, if you can help, drop us an email at [email protected] or pop a message below.

We need:

1 x Funnel Manager
2 x Finish Token hander outers
2 x Barcode scanners (If you're a c25k minute pace runner, you could run and then help out with this)
2 x Marshal 🦺

We'd also love a report or someone to do BSL for us.

All roles come with training (apart from BSL) and we can always buddy you up with someone if you prefer not to volunteer alone 😊
