It was a great day for Wantage today with another win πŸ†πŸŽ‰πŸ’ͺ
This time in the County Mixed Double fours against Maiden Erleigh Bowling Club! Towards the half way point, both rinks were even at 9 all after 10ends, but Wantage pulled away being victorious, winning both rinks and the game!
Well done to all that played! We now take on either Hagbourne or Maidenhead Town

πŸŽ‰ANOTHER WIN IN THE BAG FOR WANTAGE IN THE KENNET LEAGUEπŸ₯³πŸ₯³

With lots of Wantage players unavailable, we had to call on some of our β€˜non-regulars’, but we all pulled together and….πŸ†πŸ†
Last night we clinched a 10-4 victory against Prospect Park to add to our 13 points from the first two games.
Hopefully we can keep up the momentum to keep those points flowing!

Bring on Abingdon next week πŸ’ͺ

πŸ‘€πŸ₯° Well what a day it was today for the final stages of the Berkshire County 2 wood Singles competition, welcoming bowlers from around the county including Desborough Bowling Club, Shrivenham bowls club, Maidenhead Thicket Bowling Club, Reading Bowling Club, Suttons Bowls Club and Tilehurst Bowls Club!

The sun β˜€οΈ was shining, the BBQ πŸ” was fired up and the drinks were flowing from the bar to keep all the competitors and spectators fed and refreshed to enjoy the amazing games of bowls to be seen.

The very best bowlers in the county did not disappoint, with many games only being decided by the final few bowls of the game!

Well done to Andrew Knapper and Aubrey Merry from Tilehurst Bowls Club who qualify for Leamington, and will battle it out in the final later in the year!

An absolutely brilliant win overall this week in the Kennet League against Tilehurst A.
Both teams started well, keeping well matched, but Wantage inched ahead on two rinks, clinching a draw on the third and a loss on the forth.
An 11points to 3 victory against Tilehurst keeps us in good stead following a very tough game the first week against league favourites, Shrivenham, where we managed to grab 2 points!

Bring on next weeks game - Prospect Park Away - WATCH THIS SPACE πŸ‘€
