Match Fishing Team based in North London

21/10/2026

Matrix Image fished round 1 and 2 of the East Midland Winter League on the Great Ouse River with the boundaries being Littleport, Sandhills Bridge and Elybeet. It has been a very difficult round this year due to a clear river with lack of flow.

On the 1st round Matrix had a decent result coming 4th but on the 2nd round we had a much better result coming 2nd which leaves the league as follows Hotrods 1st with 3 points, Tackle Bates 2nd with 5 points, Matrix Image 3rd with 6 points and Peterborough 4th with 8points. This coming Sunday is round 3 which is on the drains at March bypass, Bower and Benwick .

Well what a conclusion to the end of the
Sensas Oakwood Canal league! Not only did the Blue team hold onto their lead and win the league but actually smashed it on the day with the Red team with all its mishaps this season beating Bordon to 3rd place no mean feat Stand out performance from Martin Foster in taking the match out with 18-2-0 Paul Hyde another section win along with Joyboy consistent performances from everyone brilliant ! must mention the terrific performance by Damo in the individual national on the Northampton canal just coming up short by 300 grams for the win a really credible effort in this field of 103 anglers

Northampton Canal Spring League

This has attracted 16 teams of four plus individuals which is a great turn out for this time of year. This venue is a very difficult canal at the best of times but on the day the fish have come early or late which has consisted of Roach, Skimmers and Perch a good weight on the day has been 2-4lb and with the framing weights being between 7-12lb. Matrix Image had 2 teams in this league this year and on the day Matrix Image White came 3rd and Matrix Image Black came 7th suffering from a couple of bad pegs which was costly.
