Taking time to rest physically, mentally and emotionally can help reduce your stress levels, improve your mood and support your overall wellbeing.
This time of year can be lots of fun, but can also be full on!
There are so many different ways to rest, and what works for one person will be different for someone else. Here are just a few ideas to help support you through the festive season
🎄 This is an obvious one, but try and get a good night's sleep. This can be easier said than done this time of year, but can have a huge impact on your mood and productivity
🎄 Have some quiet time. This could be sitting having a coffee, reading a book, taking a bath, going for a walk, or even just laying on the bed for 5 minutes
🎄 Be aware of your surroundings. We can all suffer from sensory overload at times - the lights, the music 🎶 etc
🎄 Unplug from electronics
🎄 Try a simple breathing or mindfulness exercise to help you regulate
🎄 Remember that it's okay to say no! Sometimes, we might need a social rest
