Sometimes, we are so busy and in a rush that life can pass us by and important things can go unnoticed.

This morning, my son called me mummy (as he always does), and it suddenly dawned on me that one day he will probably stop and start calling me mum. I won't know when that last time will be, so I will make sure I enjoy it while it lasts.

Love being called mummy! ❤️

Taking time to rest physically, mentally and emotionally can help reduce your stress levels, improve your mood and support your overall wellbeing.

This time of year can be lots of fun, but can also be full on!

There are so many different ways to rest, and what works for one person will be different for someone else. Here are just a few ideas to help support you through the festive season

🎄 This is an obvious one, but try and get a good night's sleep. This can be easier said than done this time of year, but can have a huge impact on your mood and productivity
🎄 Have some quiet time. This could be sitting having a coffee, reading a book, taking a bath, going for a walk, or even just laying on the bed for 5 minutes
🎄 Be aware of your surroundings. We can all suffer from sensory overload at times - the lights, the music 🎶 etc
🎄 Unplug from electronics
🎄 Try a simple breathing or mindfulness exercise to help you regulate
🎄 Remember that it's okay to say no! Sometimes, we might need a social rest

It's okay to relax!

This morning has definitely been more of a sofa vibe than moving mountains.

Sometimes, I just need to snuggled on the sofa with the kids, singing our hearts out to 'The Greatest Showman', pretending we are the ones on stage 😂.

So I heard this today and think it's so important to share.

We all put unnecessary pressure on ourselves in all areas of our life, and the need to be, or appear to be 'perfect' can take its toll.

Instead of striving for perfectionism, try asking yourself

Am I moving in the direction I want?
Am I being productive?
Am I using I'm time well?
