Wednesday Walkies this week is about gratitude & looking on the bright side of things 🙂

I’m having to walk everywhere atm due to my car having failed it’s MOT rather dramatically….
And yes, I could be fed up, having been rained on 3 times in 3 days and having calves that are screaming at me, thanks to the Derbyshire hills ⛰️

BUT

I have had the chance to….

🔶 Smell fresh trees after the rain
🔶 See beautiful garden flowers
🔶 Speak to the horses I drive past daily
🔶 Listen to raindrops & birdsong

I guess what I’m trying to say, is that although it is highly inconvenient & my trainers desperately need cleaning, I have had the chance to experience a different outlook & it’s been amazing 🤩

Balance & reset is the theme of my weekend 😌
It’s been a tricky week for various reasons & over these next couple of days I’m going to focus on rest, recovery, reflection, with a little bit of planning…. The planning is in order to clear my mind & prepare for another busy week 📝

Today’s Wednesday Walkies post is a little different….
For those who don’t know me, my dad passed away in January. Today would’ve been his and my step mum’s anniversary 💒
So, I’ve found myself reflecting, remembering the special moments and allowing myself to feel….
I’m not looking for any sympathy but just wanted to say, on those days when you find yourself having an emotional time, it’s ok to pause and reflect and be kind to yourself, whatever that looks like 💙
