British Kart Championship: Round 2 โ PF International ๐ฌ๐ง
A frustrating weekend of chasing pace at PFI, but we leave with our heads high and very much in the title huntโjust 3 points off P1.
The Breakdown:
Quali: P5 in group (P9 overall)
Heat 1: P8
Heat 2: P4
Superheat: P5
Final: P7
The Story:
A track evolution curveball put us on the back foot early on with setup. Quali was a chaotic 4-minute dash; leading the train without a tow meant pushing my own air to P5 in group.
We made steps forward in the heats, fighting from the outside line to bag a P8 and a strong P4. Sundayโs Superheat showed early promise, running up to P2 before the pace faded late in the run, locking in P6 on the grid for the main event.
In the Final, I was sitting comfortably in the lead pack of six. With 4 minutes to go, I made a move for P4 at Hairpin 2, got squeezed hard on the exit, and the resulting contact dropped me back to P9. Fought back to cross the line P8 and was promoted to P7 post-race.
We lost some ground, but the championship fight is wide open. Next stop: Kimbolton for Round 3! โ๏ธ
Massive thanks to the team for the setup chasing, and a huge congrats to teammate on a mega, well-deserved win! ๐
