New term, new you (or just... a really good stretch). 🧘‍♀️

Monday Evening Yoga is back at St Martins Church Hall, Saltdean from 7th September, running through to 19th October.

6–7pm is the perfect way to close out your Monday — leave the to-do list at the door, breathe deep, and let an hour on the mat reset you for the week ahead, surrounded by a genuinely lovely group of regulars.

🐍 Cobra Pose… or as I like to call it, “Snake waking up in the sunshine” pose ☀️🐍

And let’s be honest…it's going to be a lot more wriggly and noisy than this cartoon depicts!

There might be hissing, wiggling tails, dramatic snake noises, and someone deciding they’re the biggest, fiercest snake in the whole jungle 🌴🐍

But that’s exactly why I love using Cobra Pose in my toddler yoga classes!

It’s such a fun way to explore movement while helping toddlers develop:
✨ Back strength
✨ Upper body strength
✨ Body awareness
✨ Confidence in lifting and moving their bodies

And the possibilities are endless…

Are we a sleepy snake slowly waking up?
Are we a cheeky snake slithering through the jungle?
Are we looking up high to see what’s happening above the trees? 🌳

Toddler yoga isn’t about creating the “perfect” pose — it’s about imagination, exploration and helping little ones discover what their amazing bodies can do.

🌈 Reverse Tabletop… or as I like to call it, “Rainbow Bridge” pose 🌉

And let’s be honest, again, it’s probably not going to look exactly like the cartoon above! Cartoons are just much easier to share and make than photos are to take whilst teaching!

There might be wobbly arms, bottoms dropping down, little feet sliding everywhere, and someone deciding this is the perfect opportunity to become a crawling crab 🦀 (which it so is!)

But that’s the magic of toddler yoga 💛

I love using Reverse Tabletop in my toddler yoga classes because it’s such a fun way to build strength and confidence through movement.

It helps toddlers develop:
✨ Upper body strength
✨ Core strength and stability
✨ Coordination and body awareness
✨ Confidence with weight-bearing movements

And there are so many ways to bring it to life…

Are we building a bridge for our friends to walk underneath? YES
Are we a crab scuttling along the beach? YES
Are we lifting up high to let the river flow underneath? YES

⭐ Star Pose… or as I like to call it, “Reach for the sparkly stars” pose ✨😂

And let’s be honest… like all of these cartoons, it probably won’t look quite like the one above!

There might be arms going in every direction, big star jumps, lots of spinning, and someone deciding they’ve suddenly turned into a shooting star flying across the room 🚀⭐(which I LOVE)

But that’s exactly what makes toddler yoga so much fun!

I love using Star Pose in my toddler yoga classes because it’s such a simple shape that creates so many opportunities for movement and imagination.

It helps toddlers develop:
✨ Strength through the legs and arms
✨ Balance and coordination
✨ Spatial awareness
✨ Confidence in making big movements

And the possibilities are endless…

Are we shining bright like stars? Reaching up to touch the moon? Creating a magical night sky? Or becoming the biggest, brightest star in the whole universe? 🌙

Toddler yoga isn’t about holding a pose perfectly — it’s about exploring movement, building confidence and letting imaginations run wild.
