Your WHOOP is dead without a subscription.

Or so I thought.

I never renewed my annual WHOOP subscription, which meant the device on my wrist essentially became a paperweight.

No heart rate. No data. No functionality.

So today I started using AI and coding tools to build my own dashboard and app that can communicate directly with the device.

Tonight, I got live heart rate data streaming again. 📈

No WHOOP membership.
No monthly fee.
Just data.

What’s wild is that six months ago I’d have told you I couldn’t code.

Now AI is enabling people to build things that previously required an entire development team.

This is still very much a work in progress, but the build continues.

Curious to see where this goes.

The future belongs to people willing to learn, experiment, and build.

If I coached you, I probably wouldn’t start by making your training harder.

Not straight away.

I’d want to know:

Where does the week break?
What gets skipped first?
What happens when work gets busy?
Are you progressing or just exercising?
Is recovery supporting the goal?
Are weekends undoing the week?

Most people want a new plan.

But the bottleneck is usually hidden in the pattern.

That’s why real coaching isn’t just workouts and macros.

It’s knowing what to look at, what to adjust, and what to leave alone.

DM me AUDIT and I’ll tell you what I’d look at first.

Not your intentions.
Not your goals.

Your standards.

Raise them and everything changes.

Wellbeing Week at done.

Took Movement for Performance into their team this morning. The conversation was about something every single person in that room deals with, energy, stress, and how the way we move (or don’t) affects everything else.

Proud to do this alongside the team

Sunday night thought pattern, unfiltered.

Am I showing up enough. Leading enough. Training enough. Sleeping enough. Recovering enough. Present enough for the people who need me.

Getting older. Body’s changing. Time’s moving. Am I using it well enough.

The catastrophe that hasn’t happened yet but feels completely inevitable at 9pm on a Sunday.

Here’s what I know after years of working on this and with men who carry the same weight.

The man trying to be perfect in every arena ends up fully present in none of them.

Control isn’t found by doing everything optimally. It’s found by deciding what actually matters and doing that well enough, consistently enough, for long enough.

The voice doesn’t go away. But you get better at not letting it drive.

Took the long weekend to do something I don’t do enough.

Disconnect from myself.

Not from work. Not from the phone. From the voice.
The one that catalogues everything you haven’t done yet. Everything you should be further along with. Every gap between where you are and where you think you should be by now.

Most high-performing men I know are their own harshest critic. That edge is part of what makes them good at what they do.

It’s also what quietly paralyses them. Enough noise to make the easier option feel reasonable.

If you’re someone who performs well for everyone around you but struggles to extend the same patience to yourself, this week is a good time to notice that.
The work still needs doing. But so does the internal conversation you keep postponing.
