Clitheroe Cricket Club is a thriving local community sports club, whose 9 girls & boys junior teams and 4 senior teams, thriving social section and fund-raising efforts have led to us becoming one of the most successful clubs in the region. 🏏💚 ANOTHER WIN FOR OUR ClitheroeCobras GIRLS! 💚🏏

Our Girls team continued their fantastic run of form this evening with another impressive victory against Burnley CC. 👏👏

A disciplined bowling and fielding performance helped restrict Burnley to a net score of 215, with the girls showing great focus and energy throughout the innings.

In reply, Clitheroe were outstanding with the bat, taking every scoring opportunity available and running brilliantly between the wickets to finish on an excellent net score of 299.

The improvement, confidence and teamwork being shown by this group week after week is fantastic to see, and the hard work at training is certainly paying off. 💚💛

A huge well done to all the girls involved tonight – another superb team performance and another win on the board! 🏏👏

See you all at training later this week as we continue to build on what has already been a brilliant season so far.

🏏💚💛 WEEKEND RESULTS | 2 WINS FROM 4 FOR CLITHEROE CC 💛💚🏏

Another busy weekend of cricket for Clitheroe Cricket Club, with three senior sides in action and plenty of positives to take away. 👏

🔥 Friday Night T20
Our 1st XI got the weekend off to the perfect start with a superb 37-run victory over Darwen, defending 152 and bowling Darwen out for 115 under the lights at Chatburn Road.

🏏 Saturday
The 1st XI battled hard but came up short against a strong Darwen side.

The 2nd XI also faced a tough afternoon away at Darwen, despite a determined effort from the team.

🏏 Sunday
The 3rd XI finished the weekend on a high with an excellent 7-wicket victory away at Lowerhouse, chasing down 163 with plenty to spare. 👏

🏏💚 A FANTASTIC WEEKEND FOR OUR ClitheroeCobras GIRLS & LADIES! 💚🏏

What a brilliant weekend of cricket for our growing Girls and Ladies sections, with teams in action at both Accrington Cricket Club and Clitheroe Cricket Club . 👏

On Saturday morning, our Girls team travelled to Accrington C.C for a Girls Cricket Festival and enjoyed a superb first outing together, winning 2 of their 3 matches and tying the other. An excellent start and a fantastic effort from everyone involved! 🏏💪

Saturday afternoon saw our Cobras Ladies continue their impressive progress at the Accrington Festival, winning 2 out of their 3 matches and showing great teamwork, determination and spirit throughout the day. 👏💚

The action continued on Sunday as Clitheroe C.C hosted another fantastic day of girls cricket, welcoming teams from Nelson Cricket Club and Whalley C.C.

Both Cobras Girls teams were in action, each playing three matches. The only defeat of the day came when our two Cobras teams met each other, with both teams recording victories against Nelson and Whalley.

We can't wait to welcome all the amazing walkers, friends and family and anyone else who would like to come along and support East Lancashire Hospice and the pub walk on the 20th of June.

Food, drinks and music will be available from 3pm onwards and
DRIVE will be live from 8pm onwards as we host the official after party.
