What a wonderful afternoon at Stanedge Golf Club as we welcomed our friends from Hallowes Golf Club for today’s Seniors match.

Following a fantastic 5–2 victory for Team Stanedge, everyone enjoyed a delicious home-cooked meal from Tyzack’s Bar & Bistro. Guests had the choice of our homemade tomato and cheese quiche or carved ham, both served with our famous twice-cooked chips and freshly prepared accompaniments.

Our homemade desserts were the perfect way to round off the afternoon. Alongside our traditional egg custard, there was a wonderful selection of freshly made desserts available, all lovingly prepared in-house and enjoyed by our guests.

The feedback throughout the day was exceptional. Our visitors commented on the outstanding hospitality, delicious food and, of course, the condition of the course, with several members of Hallowes saying our greens were the best they have played all year.

Days like these showcase everything Stanedge Golf Club is about – great golf, fantastic home-cooked food and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Thank you to everyone who helped make it such a memorable day, and we look forward to welcoming Hallowes back again soon.

Yesterday we were delighted to welcome our friends from Brailsford Golf Club to Stanedge for our Mixed Friendly.

Congratulations to Team Stanedge on a superb 4½–1½ victory, and thank you to everyone who represented the club. More importantly, the match was played in great spirit.

The feedback we received was exceptional. Our visitors were full of praise for the condition of the course, commenting on how green it looked despite the recent dry weather and were particularly impressed by the quality of the greens. They were equally complimentary about the warm welcome they received, the delicious home-cooked food and home baking, and the friendly, attentive service throughout the day.

A huge thank you, as always, to everyone both on the course and in the clubhouse. Your hard work, dedication and attention to detail continue to make Stanedge a club we can all be proud of. Congratulations to everyone involved.

Yesterday’s Seniors Open was another fantastic day at Stanedge Golf Club.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the event such a success. It was a pleasure to welcome you all, and we hope you all enjoyed the course, the clubhouse and the warm Stanedge welcome.

They’re not for sale (before anyone asks!), but they certainly make a brilliant display piece in the pro shop and showcase the creativity we have within our team.

Yesterday evening, we had the pleasure of welcoming Alfreton Golf Club to Stanedge for a closely contested men’s friendly match.

Played in glorious conditions, the course was looking exquisite, and it was wonderful to hear such complimentary feedback from our visitors regarding the outstanding condition of the course and the warm hospitality they received throughout the evening.

Congratulations to Alfreton on a well-deserved 3½–2½ victory after an enjoyable and competitive match. Thank you to everyone who played and helped make the evening such a success. We look forward to returning the hospitality in the future.

Another warm day at Stanedge Golf Club, and the sprinklers are once again hard at work keeping our greens in the condition our members and visitors have come to expect. ☀️💧

With temperatures remaining high and very little rainfall, the team continue to monitor conditions closely, watering where required and giving the course every opportunity to thrive through the dry spell.
