The Milltown Milers The Milltown Milers have been meeting in the Ashover area since 1983. We currently meet at 7pm in Ashover Village Car Park for approx 1-1.5 hour social run

MILERS MILLIONAIRES! Pete N and Graham both ran Park Runs on the day of the millionth Park run. Pete ran a phenomenal time of 19m37s , coming 8th overall in the Black Rocks Park Run and First in his category. Well done Pete! Graham was a fair bit slower in the Monsall Park Run, coming in 204th (!), but second in his category. Medals and Gump miles to both!

John ran the Eyam half marathon - one of the hilliest and prettiest around, beating his 2022 time in a creditable 1h 49m 56s. No wonder he's smiling at the end! It also propels him up the Gump Table - watch out Milers, John's not far behind!

6 Milers competed in the May club race, the Cressbrook Crawl - a tough but beautiful fell race taking in hills, valleys and a river crossing. Peter N was first Miler home. All did well but particularly Jo coming first in her category, and jess coming 3rd. (Graham was 2nd in his but as there were only 3 it doesn't seem that big an acheivement!) Peter B and Donna also put in cracking runs!
Meanwhile in France, Garry was running another hilly race Les mousquetaires and coming first in his category again!

On the day the 2 hour marathon time was broken, Garry nearly broke the 1 hour for 10k in the Bourge les Valnce race in France. First in his category again he sits proudly at the top of the medal and Gump leagues!

A good turnout for the April Club Race, the Dronfield 10k. On a sunny morning 5 milers joined the 850 competitors in the race.John was first Miler in , in his first race for a long time. Jess came in next shortly before Jo and Sophey was not far behind. Graham was a bit further back! Our complex points system which shows the percentage of your category in front, gives Jess 10 points (8%), Jo 9 points (9%) John 8 points (29%) and Sophey 7 points (38%) all well in the elite of their categories (we won't mention Graham's 12/12 in his category!) Previously Kevin had heroically completed the Holkham ParkRun despite considerable pain still from his arm injury. Well done all!

A big turnout for the club's March race - the Monsal Trail ParkRun.Jo beat Peter B to be first Miler home, though as he came first in his category while Jo came second, Peter scores maximum points! Sophey did a great time in her first ever ParkRun, and came third in her category Well done Sophey! Graham was second in his small category and a special mention for Kevin who did the course with a broken arm accompanied by the faithful Alfie (his dog!), though sadly Kevin wasn't the first finisher with a broken arm! Meanwhile in Shelton Mallet ParkRun, Garry was coming first in his category again! Another Gold! Well done all!
