On Sunday, Rovers travelled to Hepthorne Lane and gained a valuable point in a game which was ruined by the wind. Both teams tried to make use of the wind when kicking down the hill but it was still a difficult task to put the ball in the back of the net. Rovers took the lead in the 1st half with a smart finish from Cameron Dovison. Rovers pushed to get another but ended 1 0 up at half time. The 2nd half saw Lane kicking down hill and managed to get the equaliser with a header from a corner. 1-1. Both teams tried to get the winning goal with Rovers Jack Rickels hitting the underside of the bar being the closest chance to a winner for either side. Credit to both sides for trying to play the ball about in such sh*te conditions.

Today Rovers got back to winning ways with a spirited footballing performance against a physical Brit Tupton side at Furnace Hill.
A few changes were needed after 2 lacklustre defeats and the lads reacted well with a great performance.
Sam Gilthorpe set the lads on the way latching onto a poor backpass from the Brit right back to make it 0 1. Brit then scored against the run of play after Luke Strong🤔🤫🤭 lost composure at the back to make it 1 1 with a scrappy deflected finish. Rovers then upped the passing and went 1 2 in front with a classy finish from Dan Chapman after a good lay off from Josh Aitken. 1 2 Rovers at half time.
The 2nd half was pretty much all Rovers with Brit Tupton threatening with the odd cross into the box but Rovers got the ball moving well and a good move down the right hand side ended with a great finish from Martin Cooper. 1 3. Rovers made a couple of changes and carried on going forward and Leon Phillips flying down the left found himself in front of goal and slotted the ball into the bottom right corner. Game over 1 4 Rovers. Great performance from the lads on the whole and special mention to Luke Strong who managed to gain his confidence back after a ropey 1st 10mins. Also Cam Dovison and Ollie Roddis for putting in a confident shift for such young lads. Well done Rovers. UTFR.
