Just the 2 midweek matches this week, but 2 good wins for the young Barbarians 🏏🌳👍

One set of u15s ventured over the Snake Pass to play Dinting in the quarter finals of the Derbyshire County Cup. The result? A convincing 58 run victory and a place in the semi finals.

Closer to home, another set of u15s beat Matlock by 8 runs at Milken Lane to extend their lead at the top of league group 2.

Dads and Lads (part 2) 🏏 🌳

What's better that playing cricket with your child? How about playing on the same side as two of your offspring (and bossing the game)?

Joe Moore took to the field with sons Edward and George for the 3s on Saturday, captained the side, took 3 wickets and scored 67 not out in a good win at Riddings (including a half century stand with Edward).

But the family connections didn't end there. Matt Johnstone and his boy Oscar were also in the team. They both bowled superbly, taking 4 wickets between them! 💪

This week’s highlights reel is all about dynamic duos! 🏏✨

The Dix Siblings Shine 🌟 Brother and sister Franklin and Emmie both bowled superbly this week. Between them, they took 5 wickets in just 4 overs, and both were on hat-tricks!

MCC Masterclass 🤝 Ben Willmott and Joe O’Brien represented themselves and the club with distinction while playing for the MCC on Sunday.

The pair shared a 100-run 4th wicket partnership to guide MCC Chesterfield to a 2-wicket victory over MCC Derby. Huge congratulations to Ben, who scored his first-ever half-century (57), and Joe, who made a fantastic 51!

Fantastic effort from all four players! Up the Barbarians!
