Regardless of your fitness level or age I can tailor your personal training sessions to deliver constantly cha

nging and evolving exercise routines to ensure continual progress and alleviate boredom. As your personal trainer I aim to ensure that whilst noticing quick and effective results, you will enjoy every session and feel comfortable in what you are doing. Sessions can be held at the studio, in a suitable outdoor location, in your local gym or even at your home. Home training can be a convenient option for those who do not enjoy a gym atmosphere or find it hard to fit training into their busy schedule. I will bring all equipment needed which I can set up in your home or garden. Space needn’t be an issue either as training can take place in a small area. Equipment provided will allow a full workout including cardiovascular and resistance training without leaving the house.

We’ve absolutely loved putting the Fitrnation app through its paces with our clients this week! 🔥

Being part of the testing phase has given us the opportunity to start tracking, recording, and measuring client progress in a way that’s already adding huge value to our coaching.

It’s still very much in its infancy, but what we’re seeing so far is incredibly exciting. The ability to monitor progress, gather meaningful data, and keep clients engaged with their journey has the potential to completely transform how we coach and how our clients achieve results.

Every week the platform is taking more shape, and it’s exciting to be involved in helping develop something that could genuinely reform the training experience for both coaches and clients.

The future of coaching isn’t just about workout it’s about better tracking, better accountability, and better results. We can’t wait to see what’s coming next. 🚀

💛 SEN MUMS STRENGTH SESSIONS 💛

I’m so excited to officially announce that SEN Mums Strength Sessions will be starting this September at Bates Body Factory.

This is a supportive 6-week block created specifically for mums navigating the SEN journey — whether you’re:
✨ fighting for support or diagnosis
✨ managing EHCPs and appointments
✨ carrying daily overwhelm
✨ or simply needing some time that’s just for YOU

These sessions are not about pressure, perfection or “getting fit enough.” They’re about movement, strength, support and connection alongside women who truly understand.

🗓 Starting Friday 11th September
⏰ 09:30–10:15 strength session
🧘🏻‍♀️Plus 15 minutes afterwards for a stretch and catch-up
📍 Bates Body Factory
👭 Small supportive group (max 10 women)
💷 £42 for the full 6-week block (£7 per session)

5 Hours in the Saddle… and Plenty Learned 🚴‍♂️

Out again on the bike today under the guidance of . Honestly, riding with someone else made a huge difference. Much more enjoyable having some company out there.

That said… it definitely didn’t go smoothly 🤣

HS2 seemed determined to shut every road in the direction we wanted to go, so the first 30 minutes felt like more time off the bike than on it. Then I managed to fall off trying to clip back in after a quick wee stop… straight into the bushes at the side of the road. Thankfully only the ego took damage.

And of course… another rear puncture. But between me and Matt we got it sorted and carried on.

All in all, over 5 hours in the saddle and some decent mileage in the legs. Biggest takeaways at that distance:
• I need to sort my nutrition properly.
• Wind changes everything.
• Riding with good people makes a massive difference.

Still learning every ride, but slowly building towards M2L.

Week 3 Update… Not All Rides Go to Plan 🚴‍♂️

Not my favourite ride to date…

Managed to unseat a water bottle early on and send my electrolytes all over the road. Got lost in what felt like every village I rode through, turning around more times than I care to admit. Then to top it off… first puncture on the board.

Big thanks to for coming to the rescue and helping me get back on the road.

Not the ride I had planned, but every day is a school day. Even when it doesn’t go right, you take something from it. Already know I’ll head into the next one a bit sharper and more confident.

Don’t underestimate the side plank 👀🔥

It might not look flashy… but it’s one of the most powerful exercises you can add to your training.

Why? Because side planks train the muscles that truly support you.

✔️ Strengthens your deep core muscles
✔️ Improves balance and stability
✔️ Supports your lower back
✔️ Builds shoulder strength
✔️ Helps reduce injury risk
✔️ Great for posture

Unlike crunches, side planks train your core to stabilise which is what your body actually needs in everyday life.

Carrying kids.
Running.
Lifting weights.
Even just standing tall.

If you struggle with lower back discomfort or feel “wobbly” in certain movements, adding side planks into your routine could make a huge difference.

Start with 20–30 seconds each side and focus on:
👉 Straight line from head to heels
👉 Hips lifted
👉 Core braced
👉 Controlled breathing

Simple. Effective. Underrated.

Good People Make This Stuff Easier 🚴‍♂️

Quick one this week… I’ve got to give a big shoutout to Velo Room and Nick. https://www.veloroom.co.uk/

Walked in knowing very little about road bikes and he’s been spot on from day one. Helped me choose the right bike, got everything built and set up properly, and has just been a genuinely good guy to lean on while I figure all this out. That kind of support makes a big difference when you’re stepping into something new.

Got another ride in today… just shy of 3 hours in the saddle. Still very much learning as I go, but that’s part of it. Every ride I’m picking something up.

Today’s lesson… check your tyre pressures before you head out 🤣
