My world has been dim this week without you 💔🐾

17 long and beautiful years that I will cherish for my whole life.

It’s amazing how just one little dog’s mushy face and jagged teeth had the ability to put a smile on so many faces.

Crushed and devastated don’t even touch the surface of how I feel without you little Huddy Buddy.

A little part of my soul is gone and I look for the little remnants of your presence left behind.
A hair on my sleeve.
The marks on your food bowl.
The way your collar and leash hang from the last time you wore them.

I am having a hard time imagining how I’ll get through the days, weeks and months ahead with my best friend.

I’ll miss your tippy taps on the floors, guest appearances on camera in my videos and pulling back the covers to find you deep asleep in the bed.

I’m grateful to have held you in my arms as you took your last breath and I know in my heart we will meet again in the next lifetime ❤️

Until then I know you’ll be waiting for me on the otherside of the rainbow bridge with Maui

A mile is a mile no matter how fast or slow you go! 👏🏾

I often find that when I’m scrolling through running content on social media, the discussion of pace shows up way too much in the comments. And not in a helpful way.

Instead of celebrating the effort, it becomes a way to “other” people from the running community. As if you need to hit a certain speed to call yourself a runner.

But here’s the truth: the second you lace up your shoes and move your body with intention, you’re in it. You’re a runner. Period.

So whether your mile takes 7 minutes or 17—be proud of every step. Because finishing a mile at your pace is still a mile more than if you didn’t start at all.

Let’s stop letting pace be the barrier, and start letting pride be the fuel. 🏃🏾‍♀️💛

No more boring treadmill workouts 🙅🏽‍♀️

Everyday someone asks me how I stay on the treadmill for so long without getting bored and interval training makes the time pass so much faster! 🏃🏾‍♀️

While steady state cardio (keeping the same pace the whole workout) is great, interval training can give your body a boost and make the workout feel quicker - a WIN-WIN!

So save this interval workout for your next treadmill run!

2 MIN WALK
1 MIN LIGHT JOG
1 MIN RUN
30 SEC SHUFFLE RIGHT
30 SEC SHUFFLE LEFT
REPEAT X 6

Don’t forget throw in a little dance party as you do you walking recovery each round — I swear this is what makes the workout feel like magic and pass quicker 😉 ✨

Postpartum movement looks nothing like it used to 🥺

And after a c-section, it really asks you to slow down in ways you can’t ignore.

Some days it’s just a walk with the stroller, other days it’s a few minutes of movement between feeds, burps, and naps.

My body feels different, my strength feels different, and mentally… that’s been the hardest part.

I’m learning to let go of timelines and the pressure to “bounce back,” and instead meet myself where I am.

Being a mom is already hard enough, I don’t need the outside pressure to look like I haven’t had a baby to make it harder.

This season isn’t about doing more. it’s about doing what I can, with care. And trusting that it’s enough 🤍
