🐦 “Pigeon has 10x more nutrients than chicken”… is that true?
The other day, I had a conversation with someone who told me this…
And I paused.
Because this is how misinformation quietly spreads—especially in health.
Let me simplify this for you 👇
Pigeon (also called squab) is not 10x more nutritious than chicken.
But… it is more nutrient-dense in certain ways.
Think of it like this:
👉 Pigeon is like a concentrated version of fuel
👉 Chicken is like a lean, lighter fuel
What’s actually different?
✔️ Pigeon has more iron → supports your energy
✔️ Higher vitamin B12 → brain + nervous system
✔️ Slightly more fat → richer, more satisfying
✔️ Chicken is:
– Leaner
– Lower calorie
– Still an excellent protein source
🧠 Here’s what most people don’t realize…
Your body doesn’t just need less food to look good.
It needs the right nutrients to function well.
This is where I see many women (especially in their 40s, 50s, 60s) struggle…
They start eating less…
Skipping meals…
Choosing “light” foods…
But end up feeling:
– tired
– weak
– losing muscle
– slower metabolism
💡 From my own experience…
When I was competing in bodybuilding in my 50s, I didn’t starve my body.
I fed it properly so it could perform, recover, and stay strong.
Because your body is not just something to shrink…
👉 It’s something to support so it can carry you through life
🔥 The real takeaway
It’s not about pigeon vs chicken.
It’s about this:
👉 Are you giving your body enough nutrients to stay strong?
Because strength is what:
– protects your bones
– supports your hormones
– keeps your energy up
– allows you to stay independent
👇 Reflect on this
Are you eating to:
A) Weigh less
or
B) Live stronger?
