Osteopathic Manual Therapy & Holistic Nutrition Consulting OMTs correct biomechanical dysfunctions related to neuromuscular or systemic complaints.

The objective of Osteopathic Manual Therapy (OMT) is to promote health and overall mobility through joint and organ manipulation or gentle oscillations. OMT encourages the mobility and normal interrelationship of all body systems, from neuromuscular and cardiovascular, to endocrine and digestive. By restoring proper mechanics to an area, fluids are able to flow normally and function improves, ultimately reducing pain and permitting optimal function. OMT is an effective method of treating sports injuries, overuse injuries, low back pain, shoulder pain, neck pain, knee and hip problems, headaches and migraines, GI dysfunctions (including heartburn), foot and ankle pain, and more!

Stay safe out there this spoooooky season. 👻

Might seem innocent, but they're pretty scary to someone who practices Osteopathy.

When I first dreamed up Holm, I knew one thing for certain.

I didn’t want to be a boss. 🚨

There was something about that word that felt too rigid. Too hierarchical. Too much about directing people, and not enough about what happens when you give them the space to find their own way.

I wanted to create something different.

A space where people felt trusted, not managed.
Where leadership meant supporting, not directing.
Where ideas were welcomed, individuality was celebrated, and growth was something we encouraged in one another.

A place where you didn’t just come to work, but felt that you were part of something.🤎

Where relationships grew into friendships. Where ordinary workdays became shared memories. Where you had room to build a career that felt meaningful, without losing sight of the life you were building outside of it.

✨ I wanted Holm to feel a little like coming home. ✨

Not because every day would be perfect, but because you knew you belonged. That your voice mattered. That you could show up as yourself, contribute something meaningful, and grow alongside people who cared.

I think we spend so much of our lives at work that the experience of working deserves just as much thought as the work itself.

That was the dream behind Holm.

And it’s something I hope we continue to create, together. 🤎

Balance + Connection + Integrity = Feeling Fulfilled 🤍

09/30/2026

I had an interesting conversation with a client this week about stress.

The frustration was real.

They’ve been putting in the work.
Making changes.
Paying attention.
Trying to support their body.

And yet, it feels like they’re moving through mud.

Why isn’t this working?
Why am I not making more progress?
What am I doing wrong?

And I think this is where things can get tricky.

We experience a response in our body ◡ and then we become frustrated with the response itself.

⊹ We judge it.
⊹ We try to fix it.
⊹ We ask our body to hurry up and catch up.

But what if we paused long enough to get curious?

∼ What is my body responding to?
∼ What is it adapting to?
∼ What is this response trying to tell me?

Stress isn’t an identity.

It isn’t a label that defines you.

It’s a response from a body that is constantly taking in information and adapting to its environment.

That doesn’t mean every response is helpful—or that we shouldn’t seek support when we’re struggling.

But maybe we don’t have to fight our bodies in order to change them.

☀︎ Maybe we can start by listening.

Sometimes the shift begins when we stop asking,
“What’s wrong with me?”
and start asking,
“What’s happening here?” 🌿

“It’s been one year since she got her heart transplant.”

😳

This was the shoutout Emma Lovewell gave in the spin class I took today.

‘Heart transplant.’

I checked my attitude pretty quickly as I was reaching for breath, trying to convince my legs to keep moving, and feeling the heaviness settle in.

And suddenly…

Yup. It really wasn’t so bad after all.

Perspective is a powerful thing.

That’s resiliency.

Humans are amazing and truly can do so much even under tough circumstances. 🤍

And a cute little throwback to when Emma Vink, Bryn Pugh, Ben Vink, Jackson Froc, Travel Only- Jackie & Diana and I cycled through 🇮🇹.

Bits of one of the quickest summers. 🤍

A good balance of fulfilling clinical days and recovery holiday days.

When I set off on this journey,
all I knew is I wanted to help people understand their bodies better,
improve the quality of their life,
and encourage functional movement. 🪴

I never imagined that it would bring me here. 🤍

Grateful is an understatement.

And it’s only the beginning. ▶️

As I take a moment to rest under my tree and admire my freshly weeded garden, newly landscaped greenhouse, loving dog beside me, and blue sky above. 🤍 Don’t forget the point of all your hard work.

Stress directly produces inflammation.

Let that sink in.

Stress. Directly. Produces. Inflammation.

And I'm not just talking about the stress of difficult conversations, work deadlines, or family responsibilities.

I'm talking about the stress of:

❌ Harsh cleaning products
❌ Processed foods
❌ Poor sleep
❌ Constant busyness
❌ Unresolved emotions
❌ Microplastics and environmental toxins
❌ Lack of movement
❌ Overtraining without recovery
❌ Isolation and disconnection
❌ The pressure to always do more

The body doesn't necessarily distinguish between types of stress. It simply recognizes that a demand has been placed upon it and responds accordingly.

From an osteopathic lens, health isn't merely the absence of disease—it's the body's ability to adapt to the demands placed upon it.

Our bodies are incredibly intelligent and resilient. They are constantly working to maintain balance, regulate inflammation, and move us back toward health. But when the cumulative burden of stress exceeds our ability to adapt, compensation begins.

Sometimes compensation looks like:

🛑 Digestive complaints
🛑 Skin conditions
🛑 Persistent aches and pains
🛑 Hormonal imbalances
🛑 Fatigue
🛑 Sleep disturbances
🛑 Anxiety or nervous system dysregulation

These symptoms aren't necessarily signs that the body is failing. Often, they're signs that the body is communicating.

As osteopathic practitioners, we ask: What is the body adapting to? And has the total load become greater than the body's capacity to self-regulate?

Healing isn't always about doing more.

Sometimes it's about reducing the load.

Creating space for rest. Nourishing ourselves well. Moving regularly. Connecting with others. Supporting healthy drainage and circulation. Spending time in nature. Receiving hands-on care. Finding moments of safety and stillness.

Because when we lessen the burden, we create the conditions for the body to do what it was designed to do:

Heal, adapt, and thrive.

06/09/2026

Healing doesn't have to be this dramatic event.

Sometimes it looks like finally giving your body a moment to catch up.

I recently went for a little “tune-up” acupuncture treatment. Nothing was wrong — but things could feel a bit better. It felt like time.

The treatment itself gave me exactly what I needed:

space to slow down, soften tension, and let my body settle into a calmer state.

But what stood out most was what happened afterward.

In the days following treatment, things felt… different. Not bad. Just shifted.

This is often the integration period — the time where your body is adapting, reorganizing, and responding to the support it received in treatment.

You might notice:

- less tension
- mild soreness
- fatigue
- emotional release
- lightness
- subtle shifts in how your body feels

And yet, we rarely talk about this part.

The body can continue processing for up to three days after treatment. THREE DAYS of change, repair, communication, and recalibration.

The question becomes:

🌱 How are you supporting your body during that time?
🌱 Are you slowing down where you can?
🌱 Hydrating? Resting? Listening?
🌱 Creating space for the changes to integrate?

Healing doesn’t only happen on the treatment table.

🌿 Sometimes the most important work happens afterward.

The next time you leave a treatment, ask yourself:

✨ What can I do today to help support my body through this process? ✨
