Claudine is our intrepid registrar, but also holds multiple other roles on the Lacombe Skating Club’s executive board. We couldn’t run this club without her! Congratulations on this well-deserved award, Claudine!

Our Carnival is two weeks away, and the executive team is working hard to prepare everything so that it is an amazing event!

We are still desperately searching for raffle table donations, so if you know of a business that might be able to contribute something (or you run your own business and can help), we would gladly take the following:

- a gift certificate for products or services
- a pre-made basket to go on our table
- a single item that can be used as one prize
- smaller items that we could combine with other business donations and make a 'shop local' basket
- monetary donation so we can buy a prize on behalf of your business (your business name would go on the prize even if we buy it)

All businesses who contribute to the raffle table have their names displayed on each prize bag, on a poster hanging at the raffle table, and on our social media. You can include business cards or other promotional materials along with your prize, and we will make sure those are attached. We want to market your business as much as we can as a thank you for your donation!

Our volunteer sign-up for the Skating Carnival on March 1st is live! Please help us run a smooth Carnival! We need volunteers ike you to make it work.

The executive team is fully manned by parent volunteers, but there's only a small handful of us, and running the Carnival is too much for our team alone. So please, sign up for at least one time slot to give us a hand. These volunteer hours also go towards completing your required volunteer hours if you handed in a volunteer cheque at the beginning of the season.

Huge shout out to the Lacombe Generals for showing their appreciation for our lovely skaters this weekend! They absolutely love showing up to do flags and watch you guys play!

To our Saturday PreCan and CanSkate skating families...

(AND any families from our other skating days who still might have chocolate forms / money that they have not yet turned in)...

Saturday, January 31st is the last day to hand in forms and money our chocolate fundraiser with Oodles of Chocolates. Saturday evening, Marti has to submit our entire club order so that Oodles can have it all prepared for us on time. We cannot submit any late orders.

Please bring your forms and payment to the rink, more specifically the back ice, between 4:15 and 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 31st.

You can EMT payment (just include your skater's name in the description) and even take a photo of your form and email it to: [email protected] if you cannot come to the rink in person.

THANK YOU to everyone who has worked so hard gathering orders for this fundraiser! We are so grateful to have such helpful and dedicated skating families in our club!
