This week’s Rat Chat belongs to Chris and she’s brought plenty of personality with her.

From discovering pickleball through her daughter Linda, to admitting that actually hitting the ball can sometimes be an achievement, Chris certainly doesn’t take herself too seriously.

Her answers are a great reminder that pickleball is about far more than what happens on court, it’s the friendships, the laughs, the lunches, the trips and feeling part of a community that make it special.

There are a few crackers in this one too… including who talks the most on court 'wonder who that would be?' and Chris’s very questionable “go-to shot”.

Monday Premier League Results

Some close contests across the divisions, with Victory Squad edging out Thunderbolts and Hopeful Heroes overcoming Brave Hearts. Rising Stars and Fearless Fighters finished level on games, with Rising Stars taking the win on points.

A strong finish to the regular rounds across Gold, Green and Red! Rat Pack looking as strong as ever, Kitchen Confidential, Baseline Aces and MP4 recorded clean sweeps, while Smiling Stars claimed their win on points after finishing level on games with Pickle Back.

MORE PICKLEBALL, MORE CHOICE

Sunday weekly competition is coming to Ballarat Pickleball Club Starting Sunday October 4th, join us from 11:30am - 1:30pm for our AMC-style Doubles competition and brand-new Singles competition. Open to players from near and far, these are weekly opt-in competitions, simply sign up for the week or weeks you’d like to play.

Players will be placed in divisions with others of a similar playing standard/DUPR in both Doubles and Singles making for competitive games and plenty of fun. So if your ready for some great competitive doubles action or taking on the singles challenge, we'd love to see you on a Sunday.
Non-members are most welcome by registering your interest or signing up by emailing [email protected].

Wednesday Teams Competition's last Round Before Finals

Tonight is the last round of the regular season, and there’s still plenty to play for before next week’s finals.
With ladder positions potentially changing by the end of the night, every game, every point and every result could make a difference.
Rat Pack currently lead Gold, Smiling Stars sit on top in Green, while MP4 remain unbeaten at the top of Red, but nothing is locked away just yet.

Good luck to all teams tonight. Finish the season strongly and enjoy one last big night before Finals Week.

Tonight is the final round before finals.

There’s still plenty on the line in our Monday Premier Competition League, with ladder positions potentially changing by the end of the night.

Every game and every point could make a difference, so bring your best and finish the regular season strongly. Good luck to all teams.

Extra Thursday Night Court Times.

Thanks to our growing membership and the increasing popularity of pickleball in Ballarat, additional courts will be available every Thursday night from 7:00–9:00pm, starting this week.

2 x courts will remain available for social play.
4 x courts will be available for members to book, subject to availability.

To secure a court, simply visit the Hello Club booking portal.

The Rats are growing and so are our court times.
