Day 16 - Journey to the 20th Year Anniversary of The Rockhampton Golf Club Ian Weigh Toyota Pro-am.

Went to the practice fairway this afternoon. Didn’t spend too much time on technical practice today.

Set my myself an 8 shot challenge -

Need to hit all 8 shots in a row with out missing

2 x 35m - 60 degree
2x 60m - 60 degree
2x 85m - 56 degree
2x 135m - 9 iron

These type of drills are really good for mental toughness and helps simulate on course play.

Managed to get it done after a few tries 💪⛳️

Day 11- Journey to the 20th Year Anniversary of The Rockhampton Golf Club Ian Weigh Toyota Pro-am.

Technical putting check up in the Performance Centre on the GC Quad and WellPutt putting Matt.

Putting had been feeling a little uncomfortable getting the ball on the necessary start lines and then resulting in poor distance control and some miss strikes.

Set up the GC Quad and camera to look deep into the data and technique to see what was happening and the results came.

I found I had my stance alignment too far left so I squared that up. I was also leaving the putter face open at impact. Knowing this helped me understand why my putting had a two way miss on course because of some putts I had over compensated and closed the face missing to the left. .

After an adjustment to the set up and change of feel to help square the club face up the putts rolled better, straighter and into the hole ⛳️ ⛳️

Ready to putt some work in tomorrow 💪
