Registration is open now, from $115. We're fielding sides across Senior Mens, Masters and Vets, plus multi-day cricket offerings, with divisions running from 1 through to 8, so there's a spot for every level of player. 🏏

Really exciting news for cricket in our region! Being one of only two clubs aligned to the Newcastle Junior Cricket Association and Newcastle District Cricket Association in our LGA, this appointment, and the Greater Newcastle Cricket concept, will directly flow on to our club and cricket in Port Stephens.

Watch this space - the Pythons remains the only club in the LGA who offers cricket for boys and girls, with dedicated girls only competitions, to men’s and women’s competitions, and then Veterans cricket!

Greater Newcastle Cricket has appointed Paul Wilson, known as Blocker, as its inaugural Executive Officer.

A Newcastle product who went on to play Test and ODI cricket for Australia before building one of the most respected umpiring careers in the game, officiating eight Tests and over 250 domestic fixtures, Paul is one of only six Australians to have both played and officiated Test cricket for his country.

"Taking on the role of Executive Officer for Greater Newcastle Cricket feels like coming home," Wilson said.

We're opening registrations for U9s through U11s Kids will be coached by Cricket Australia Level 2 qualified coaches and playing in the Newcastle Junior Cricket Association, who aim to provide competitions structured to keep travel down for local families.

Notice is at this moment given that the 41st Annual General Meeting of the Port Stephens Cricket Club will be held on July 28, commencing at 7:00pm at the Spinning Wheel Hotel.

2. The opening of the meeting.
3. Welcome to guests.
4. Confirmation and adoption of the minutes of the Annual General Meeting held on 5th August 2025 at the Spinning Wheel Hotel.

8. Declaration of all positions vacant, nominations for Executive and Ordinary committee members, and ballot if required.
9. General Business

For the first time since 2018, junior cricket returns to Medowie!

Proud to be working alongside Cricket NSW and Newcastle Junior Cricket Association to bring cricket back to this area! Huge things planned over the next 12 months!

Uniquely positioned to deliver a wide range of cricket options, whilst we will aim to expand our junior program - we're striving to bring a girls only side to Port Stephens in 2026! Watch this space!

But today, is about these boys! Some who have matriculated through the blast program, and others new to the club. A five year journey at Kindlebark Oval, culminating in a match against Stockton & Northern Districts Cricket Club!
