A successful day for all Vagabonds at the Joe Hensel Memorial. Coach Adam with a PB 102 sn**ch and comp PB 128 C&J. Grace with Comp PBs 58 sn**ch and 73C&J, Corey with a NSW record 80kg sn**ch and our newest lifter Rhys going 6/6 with 60kg sn**ch and 75 kg C&J and grabbing some NSW records in process.
Grateful to for the opportunity to lift near home soil and for running the athletes

We’re so lucky to work with some incredibly talented junior lifters at Vagabond!! Emily did a awesome job away at her first Nationals and it’s great to see her and the sport getting some recognition in her community. Shout out also to Vagabond Tas coach Tegan Kirkpatrick, such an asset to the team!!!!

A big Happy Birthday to the Queen of Mean and Vagabond OG Grace Green. While we celebrated her 18th last night with all things ‘G’, we’re super lucky to get to train with this great lifter, generous team mate and all-round good human.

It’s a great day to be a Vagabond! With two athletes lifting at the National U15 and Junior Titles. First up was Corey, who after a rough start made a huge comeback to earn a silver medal in the U15’s and a bronze medal in the Juniors. And in true Corey fashion, secured a new National record in the clean and jerk and a 6kg pb, nailing 111kg!

Tassie Vagabond Emily was next up, going 6 for 6 to take out the gold medal in the U15s. Emily also set National records for the clean and jerk and total (she’s saving the sn**ch for next time 😉).

We are beyond proud of these two kids. They put in the work week after week and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for them!!

Vagabond superstar Emily lifted in the Tasmanian State Championships on the weekend. Going 6/6 with a total of 105kg, Em came away with 1st place in both the U15 and U17 categories for her weight class!!! Can not wait to see this legend lift at Nationals in a couple of months!!!

Vagabond’s U15 superstar Corey had a great day at the NSW U15 Championships yesterday. He not only came away with the win, but managed to set state records in the sn**ch, clean and jerk and total. Super proud of the work this kid puts in and can’t wait to see him on the platform for National Titles later this year!

No1 Vagabond supporter Alana is representing Australia tomorrow at the Oceana, Commonwealth and Pacific Rim Masters Weightlifting competition. For those that have asked the link is below. She’ll be on platform A from 13:30
