What an amazing weekend we just had attending the Oceania Gasshuku.
Such a wonderful group of people who were open minded and enthusiastic in their participation. We had a mix of very senior grades from from KU and other martial arts systems working right alongside people who have barely begun their journey and not an ego in sight with the seniors willingly sharing their experience & knowledge and the juniors being attentive and focused.
My thanks to all of the participants for attending & making it such a memorable event. My thanks also to the senior KU instructors, Kyoshi Bill Johansen, Shihan Peter Wetherspoon, Sensei Wolfgang Vogel & Renshi David Beattie for teaching the various sessions.
Last but not least, very heartfelt thanks to my Wife, Anne, for all of her time and effort organising & promoting the Gasshuku in the lead up to the event and for looking after things during the Gasshuku, transporting people around, taking photos and generally ensuring that all went smoothly.
