🔵⚪ Celebrating Matthew Lee — 40 Seasons with Rovers! ⚪🔵
Please join us in congratulating Matthew Lee, who was recognised by Football NSW with a State Award at its 2026 State Dinner! 👏🏆
This honour comes as Matthew celebrates his 40th consecutive season with Connells Point Rovers—a milestone no other member has achieved in our club’s history.
From starting in the Under 7s to playing 35 seasons, including 16 in Premier League, Matthew has made an incredible contribution on the field. He played an integral role in our return to Premier League in 2006 and has continued giving back as a coach, mentor, committee member and volunteer.
This year, Matthew serves as Club Coach and coaches our undefeated 15A Girls, while also helping with grading, organising pre-season games and supporting players’ development.
You’ll also regularly find him at Poulton Park setting up fields or putting his hand up whenever help is needed. Matthew never seeks the spotlight—he simply loves football and our club.
Thank you, Matthew, for four decades of loyalty, leadership and generosity. This recognition is thoroughly deserved, and everyone at Rovers is proud to celebrate it with you! 💙🤍
