Sometimes the smallest adjustments create the biggest changes in Your Pilates practice.
A movement can look almost identical from the outside, but one small change in positioning can completely change which muscles are doing the work. đŞ
Thatâs why Pilates is about so much more than simply completing a movement. Itâs about understanding how You move.
⨠Bridging
Avoid arching through Your lower back when in the Bridging position. Keep shoulders, hips and knees in line - rib cage soft, no flaring.
⨠Ab Curls
Avoid leading with Your chin and neck. Initaite the movement with the abdominals - draw the ribs to hips and lifting with the chest. No momentum.
⨠Lunges
Maintain good knee alignment - keep the shin bone vertical to the floor - knee stays over ankle.
By learning to listen to Your body, You can start to recognise the small details that make a movement feel more effective and safe.
Because better movement starts with better awarenessđ¤
