SA 360Ls State Title/Easter Nationals

Last Friday we headed up to Timmis Speedway in Mildura for the SA title and Easter nationals,

3rd April - SA Title

Heat 1 : 2nd-8th

Heat 2 : 9th-5th

Amain : 13th-9th

Had the set up perfect and was the best I’ve felt and looked in the car since my debut.

5th April - Easter Nationals

Heat 1 : 2nd-7th

Heat 2 : 9th-7th

Amain : 13th-dnf

Got caught up in an incident first corner which gave me a flat front left tyre and broken front wing post completed 8 laps and was asked by the steward to pull to the infield. Was disappointed at first but realised it was only for my own safety and the safety of others.

Overall had a good weekend with friends and learnt a lot, we now are in the off season and will focus on getting the car ready for 2026/27 season and keeping me sharp in the go karts

Thanks to Bryan Byrnes for the shed to wash and do maintenance out of in Mildura, helped us out a lot.

We are locked and loaded for a busy weekend in Mildura racing on the 3rd an 5th at Timmis Speedway. Hope to see you there

Last night 21st March, we attended the Ross Wright Memorial.

Ross and the whole Wright family have been a massive part of the Murray Bridge Speedway aswell as the speedway community and it was an honour to race in memory of him.

Neil thought it was time to adventure towards the concrete wall and start running higher up the track, Mum and Toby weren’t real keen on that idea but gave way eventually.

Hot laps was a bit daunting having to move higher up the track, but I got myself into a rhythm and got more comfortable, timing 9th out of 16

Heat one - was just about getting more comfortable running a different line and staying out of trouble
➡️ 8th - 5th

Heat two - just getting consistent laps
➡️ 7th - 7th

A main (feature)
We were set for 30 laps and we went green to chequered having no cautions, heat finishes saw me start 12th in the final slowly passing cars,
➡️12th - 5th collecting my first top 5 finish thanks to Bailey Heinrich for that one.

Was good to get my third sign off and now be able to start in the field.

Friday saw a trip to Bordertown for my debut Sprintcar race.

Hot laps saw a fuel ⛽️ issue which was quickly resolved and had another chance to hit the track before heats.

Heat 1 :

The nerves definitely hit …. But
I managed to find my groove mid track and kept out of trouble managing to move up a couple of spots.

Heat 2 :

Keeping clear of some flips and spin outs I managed some really consistent laps. Finishing 4th

Final : Qualified 7th out of 14 Cars

First 14 laps were good and felt really comfortable higher up the track but not as much down the bottom.

Being a 20 lap final it was hard to keep some consistent laps and grew tired and some messy laps happened

Managed to reset and the last couple of laps were much better
Unfortunately 2nd to last laps the ignition wire disconnected and we lost all power.
