Just want to shout out all the boat racers and officials racing this weekend at Taree. Hoping you guys have some safe and awesome racing.

Unfortunately we had an issue at the Terrace club day. Steve, Ties and Marko put in a big effort to get the boat back on the water, and disappointingly it dropped the oil pump belt off when he was heading back to the ramp after his first run.

We didn’t have time to look at the motor but we’re confident it won’t be too much of an issue. Super keen keen to get it back in the water and maybe even get to see Ties’s new boat as well.

On a positive, we have Rastus Beer Coolers 😂😂💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻🥃🥃🥃.

Come see us next time we’re at the track and bring a fiver with you to get a seriously cool beer cooler.

This is what our off season is looking like. We knew after Mildura that we needed to do some maintenance. The boat was stripped a week later and off to Bannister Marine it went. Thanks to Kaine & Caine for all there fine work. The boat is now down at Wescranes getting painted. We hope to be back on the water for a club day in February.

At Mildura, during the show and shine, we were lucky enough to meet one of the greats of Australian car builds ‘Howard Astill’. Howard has won multiple summernats outright car builds and just so happens to be a massive Ford guy.

Check out the youtube vlog he has done with us for the weekend. It was great to talk to a guy of his calibre and the fact that his interests travel further than cars. Pretty cool to be apart of.

Mildura 2025,



Wow, what a weekend for the ‘Rastus’. Firstly a massive thank you to Melbourne Runabout & Speedboat Club and Mildura Ski Club for putting on an incredible event at a great venue.

The boat ran perfect all weekend. 6ltr racing can be full on and Steve’s commitment and composure under some serious pressure was incredible.

Friday we qualified 2nd for NDC Rnd1 with a time of 33.3 getting pipped by Sick Puppy by .2 of a second. Took the win in both our heats which put us out of pole 2 in the final beside Sick Puppy. We finished 2nd to Sick Puppy in one of the most epic races of the weekend. This race doubled to be the final of the ‘Jack Kavanagh Memorial’

Saturday afternoon was qualifying for NDC Rnd 2 and Steve turned up the heat and qualified fastest with a 31.97. We went on to win our 2 heats and the final which also doubled as the ‘Clyde Lewis Memorial’.

We are proud to take home the win for the inaugural ‘6ltr National Drivers Championship’ and we are also incredibly honored to put our name on the ‘Clyde Lewis Memorial’ trophy.

Kavanagh Final combined with round 1 final of the 6ltr .

Finished 2nd to Corey Marland in Sick Puppy. Quite possibly the best race we’ve been a part of. So proud of Steve and his commitment in this race. Not to many more words need to be said. Watch this video to appreciate what a cracking 6ltr race is all about.
