Cronulla Sharks edged the New Zealand Warriors 10-8 in a gritty, wet-weather contest at Go Media Stadium. Returning home for the first time since Round 7, the Warriors pushed the Sharks all the way before a stunning 45-metre field goal from Braydon Trindall proved the difference. The victory continues Cronulla's strong form after back-to-back big wins over the Bulldogs, Sea Eagles and Dragons.
Parramatta Eels continued their resilient run without key stars, edging the Canberra Raiders 15-12 in a hard-fought clash in Sydney's west. Missing Origin playmaker Mitchell Moses, the Eels showed plenty of fight to secure the win. Canberra, led by Daine Laurie and Ethan Sanders in the absence of Ethan Strange, snapped a 162-minute scoreless streak but were unable to avoid defeat.
