Notice of Annual General Meeting: West Footscray Roosters
Wednesday 14 October 2026, 7:00pm, 540 on Barkly (Upstairs), Footscray.

The formal Notice of AGM has been emailed to all members.
This year's meeting will present the Club's new Committee Structure and the volunteer roles up for 2027, alongside the usual AGM business: reports, minutes and elections.

Nominations for 2027 committee roles are open now: nominate online at forms.gle/q9uMNjHTbpFpZuAq9 by 5:00pm Wednesday 7 October.

Golden Roosters, community members, supporters, families and players: everyone's welcome, not just members.

This year's changes aren't just admin: we're moving from a handful of people covering everything to a structure with real depth spread across more roles.

Season 2027 is again a year away from Skinner Reserve, Braybrook before we're back at headquarters, and we want the foundations set before we return.

📣 Calling all 2026 Roosters Junior Girls & Senior Women players

The WFNL Women & Girls Strategy Group has launched a survey for all registered female players from the 2026 season.

The survey is designed to help shape the future of women’s and girls’ football across the league — including competitions, player experience, retention and club support.

All eligible players should have received the survey link directly, so please check your inbox and take a few minutes to complete it while the season is still fresh.

You can complete the survey anonymously, or leave your details to go into the draw to win a $100 New Balance voucher.

There’s also something in it for the club — the club with the highest percentage of completed surveys will win a $250 GYG gift card 🌯

So Roosters, let’s get behind it and get as many responses in as we can.

🐓 What a night for our junior Roosters at the WNFL’s Presentation night (local footy’s version of the Brownlow!) ❤️🤍

🔴⚪ The Roosters are climbing — let’s keep going! 🔴⚪

Only 20 sleeps until the 2026 Toyota Good for Footy Raffle closes on 21 September.

We’ve now sold $2,510 and jumped to 84th in the country.

Tickets are just $5 each, with 100% of proceeds going back to local footy clubs.

And the prizes are huge:

🚗 2026 Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid GX — RRP $42,604.95

This campaign works. In 2025, 837 clubs raised $1,173,270, and since 2008 more than $12.6 million has been raised for local footy clubs.

🏆 FOUR GRAND FINALISTS. THREE PREMIERSHIPS. WHAT A DAY FOR THE ROOSTERS! 🐓🔴⚪️

A huge congratulations to all four of our Grand Final teams yesterday.

🏆 U14 Mixed Division 2 Premiers
Roosters 129 defeated Point Cook 26 in a dominant Grand Final performance.

🏆 U14 Girls Premiers
Roosters 27 defeated Werribee Districts 11 to claim their first ever premiership! An incredible achievement from this group.

🏆 U14 Boys Roosters/Sunshine Premiers
Our merged Roosters/Sunshine team defeated Caroline Springs 88–77 in a great contest, getting home by 11 points.

❤️ U16 Boys Division 2 Grand Finalists
Unfortunately, our U16 Boys were defeated by YSE 85–26. While it wasn’t the result they wanted, reaching a Grand Final is a fantastic achievement and something the players, coaches and team should be very proud of.

Four teams on Grand Final day and three premierships is an incredible result for our club.

A huge congratulations to every player, coach, team official, volunteer and family member who contributed throughout the season.
