Condolences to the Miller family from everyone at the North Footscray following his passing late last week.

Jim was the oldest living VFL/AFL player as well as the oldest living North Footscray player having won the Footscray District Football League Best and Fairest and Most Outstanding Player as a 17 year old in 1936.

Before going on to play over 100 games for the Footscray Football Club. Joining the committee post playing career and serving as president between 1963-1966.

As well as serving in WWII in both the army and RAAF.

Everyone at the Western Bulldogs is deeply saddened by the death of past player and former president of the Club Jim Miller.

Jim was a true Bulldog, a life member of the Club since 1947 who played 131 games in the red, white and blue after debuting in 1938. He also served as president between 1963 and 1966.

Before his passing at the age of 107 he was the oldest living VFL/AFL player and two of our players were privileged to join him at his most recent birthday celebrations.

The Club would like to extend condolences to Jim's daughter Lyn and all of his family and friends at this difficult time.

150 Club Function this week at our final home game for the year.

All 150 Club members are invited to come join us for our game against the Rams with food and drink on the club to half time of the senior game.

NOTE: Our Reverse Draw has now been moved to Saturday the 15th of August following our last game of the year.
Tickets are still available so be sure to purchase this week and get your name on the board.

North Footscray is looking for a few extra players to help us finish the season strong!

If you’ve ever thought about giving footy a go, come down to training on Wednesday from 6:00–7:00 pm. No experience is needed—everyone is welcome!

Our games are on Saturday mornings, and we’re hoping to get enough players on the ground to finish the season strong. If you’ve been thinking about giving footy a try or would like to help out for our last 3 games, we’d absolutely love to have you.

North Footscray’s annual Grand Draw is just around the corner, if last years event is anything to go by, this years event is going to be huge.

Tickets can be purchased for $100 per ticket, for your chance to win a grand prize of $7,500.

The draw will begin at 7:30pm, all ticket holders will receive complimentary beer, wine and soft drink for the duration of the draw, approx 3 hours.
Chances to win multiple cash spot prizes, as well as special door prizes offer during the evening.

Ticket payment can be made by bank transfer, payment at the club rooms or via the square link.

This is the clubs biggest fundraiser of the year, so make sure you reach out to secure a ticket and show your support.

Hear from Dave and one of the senior leaders Brody Vorano after a big round 12 win against West Footscray.

The players have stepped up with an initiative post game to collect the bins, rubbish and goal post padding to ease the load on our volunteers.

Our next home game is July 18 v Laverton which is our Past Players Day.
We encourage all former Devils to get down to Hansen Reserve for what should be a great day and evening.
