Geelong’s WGE event was a raging success with the Geelong Disc Golf Club hosting 33 women and girls in an all-female event. Volunteers from the club committee, club players and partners of players supported the event on the day helping it run smoothly.

Geelong Disc Golf Club welcomes all interested women and girls to register for our 2026 Women’s Global Event: Right up Your Alley, at Barwon Valley!

All levels of women are encouraged to register whether curious first-timers, occasional players, developing keen-beans, addicted and wildly variable, or well polished veterans. Spread the word!

Key details:
Date: Sunday 24th May 2026 Time 9am-3:30pm
Location: Barwon Valley Disc Golf Course, 42 Barrabool Road, Belmont 3216
Cost: $20 for amateur players, $30 for professional players.

2 rounds of 13 unique holes of disc golf.
Lunch and snacks provided
Free disc and mini marker disc (made from recycled phone cases!)
A result that goes into the worldwide competition - Women’s Global Event - in your chosen female division.
Volunteers available to help newer players with disc golf questions
Access to toilets at two points on the course

🌏Women’s Global Event – Right Up Your Alley at Barwon Valley🌏

The Geelong Disc Golf Club is proud to host the PDGA Women’s Global Event on Sunday May 24th at Barwon Valley Disc Golf Course.

This is a worldwide celebration of women in disc golf, where no woman plays alone. On the same day, women across the globe will be competing together, with scores combined to determine global champions.

What to expect:
• 2 rounds on the new Yellow layout
• Lunch provided
• All women’s divisions available
• On-site toilet facilities
• Additional event features to be announced

Registration opens for female players in March. If the event isn’t full, it will open to male players in early May.

Since 2012, the Women’s Global Event has become the largest PDGA event for a single demographic in our sport — and we’re excited to bring it to Barwon Valley.

Even better, the PDGA has waived temporary membership and player fees for all WGE divisions to make this event more accessible for new players 💪

🎄 Rudolph Riot 2025 – Winners Wrap-Up 🔔

What an incredible weekend at The Ponds, Deakin University!

Disc golfers from across Victoria flocked to Geelong for a festive two-day Rudolph Riot showdown, and the competition absolutely delivered. From tightly packed leaderboards to clutch putts, the event showcased some of the best talent (and best Christmas spirit) we’ve seen.

One of the standout moments of the weekend was the three-hole playoff for the FA1 title, keeping the crowd on edge right until the final put.

The Rudolph Riot 2025 was a true success, competitive, festive, and full of brilliant moments.

This upgrade has been proudly funded through the City of Greater Geelong grants program, with support from Recreation Activity Design. Massive thanks to everyone involved for helping push disc golf forward in Geelong!

Due to this upgrade the course will be CLOSED from Tuesday 2nd of December to finish the works. 🥏💛

The Rudolph Riot returns on the first weekend of December, and after last year’s huge success, we’re excited to be back at The Ponds!
We’ve removed the big uphill climb this year, which means you’ll be playing brand-new holes debuting just for this event.
It’s two rounds in a single day, with split divisions so you only need to commit to one day (though you’re welcome to play both!).
Saturday Divisions: MP40, FPO, MA1, FA40, MA50, FA2, MA3, FA4, & MJ15
Sunday Divisions: MPO, FP40, FA1, MA40, MA2, FA50, FA3, MA4, & FJ15
