Geelong Dragon Boat Club inc. Dragon boating, the ultimate team sport from 12 years to 90 years young. Fun, Fitness, Friendship Paddles and Life Jackets are provided.

Dragon boating is high adrenaline team sport, resting heart rate to max in 15 seconds that is both social and competitive with up to 22 people in a boat. We sit to paddle, working and strengthening the whole body, especially core muscles. Follow the links below for further insight into Dragon Boating.....

Competition categories are;
Women
Mixed, maximum 50% men rest women
Open, can be all men and some or no women

Age groups
Juniors, under 18
Under 24
Premier, any age
Master A over 40
Masters B over 50
Masters C over 60

Team sizes
10s, 10 paddlers or 20s, 20 paddlers. Ages from 12 to 70+

Training, our warm-up starts at:
Saturday mornings 9.00am. Wednesday 4.30pm

The Barwon River is beautiful and sheltered making it an all year paddling venue. Geelong Dragon Boat Club is situated at: Geelong Canoe Club, Marnock Road, Newtown (Geelong Vic). Wear comfortable sport wear and shoes that can get wet, bring a hat and drink bottle. Please contact us at [email protected]
