750 club for Sam! 🤩

Shout out to this pocket rocket for a huge milestone of 750 classes at CFZ.
Sam is one of our most consistent members - she will be in the committed club every single month and has one of the highest attendance rates over the year!

This dedication comes with some amazing progress and it has shown with Sam’s strength and overall performance.

Bright Spot Friday 🌟 MURPH 💪

Two weeks ago we completed the annual Murph workout in honour of Michael Murphy who died serving in Afghanistan in 2005.

This is a workout we complete around the same time every year and we love seeing how many of our members get around it - this year we even had the teens join in on our 9am class, showing that any age can put their head down and work through this hero workout.

The atmosphere was on fire and we had so many firsts and personal bests!

Special mention to Sam, Gaz and Dana for their first year as RX!
Some first time shout outs to Chels, Ben, Louise and Joey. And a very special shout out to Shaun for doing too many pull ups 🤣

Big week of 100 club at CFZ! 🥳 🙌

Shout out to Shaun, Ben and May for all hitting their 100th milestone.

Shaun has recently smashed out his first handstand hold and Ben has shown us some solid endurance improvements!
May is getting more confident with Olympic lifts every class!

CrossFit’s Theoretical Hierarchy of Develop explains that fitness is built in layers, with each layer supporting the next.

The hierarchy looks like this:
1. Nutrition – The foundation. If your nutrition is poor, everything above it is harder to improve.
2. Metabolic Conditioning – Building cardiovascular endurance and stamina through activities like running, rowing, cycling, and high-intensity workouts.
3. Gymnastics – Learning to control your own body through movements such as squats, pull-ups, push-ups, and handstands. This develops coordination, balance, flexibility, and body awareness.
4. Weightlifting & Throwing – Applying force to external objects. This builds strength, power, speed, and accuracy.
5. Sport – The highest level, where all the previous layers are combined in a competitive or recreational activity that tests fitness in a dynamic environment.

Improvements are most effective from THE GROUND UP. Trying to excel at gymnastics while neglecting nutrition will limit your progress.

Each level provides the foundation for success at the levels above it, creating a more complete and resilient athlete.

Wishing Costa all the best with his big move!!

This morning we celebrated Costa and sent him off with his 1000th workout. 💪
Costa has been a huge part of CFZ since the very beginning and trained with Nath before CFZ existed. He is a staple in our 6am classes, always coming in with the positive vibes and the J-Lo energy. He will be missed! 💛
